Mortal Online limited edition for 3,850 $ UPDATE
KrazyKraut | 9:03 AM on 06.28.2009 11 comments

The economic crisis got us all, even poor game devs:

Maybe you heard about it or maybe not...but this Summer Mortal Online, a PVP focused MMORPG is coming. Developed by the independent guys from StarVault in Sweden and supported by the Unreal3-engine it will be a hack and frag fest with a lot of possible settings like creating your own God/Religion, a big world to discover, clan wars and the possibility to purchase the (i think) most expensive game version of all time: MORTAL ONLINE FOR LIFE with a lot of extras and specials.
Yeah...right no monthly fees for ever. But a nice price for one time: 3,850 $ Here is the full list:

My opinion is : Not even when the game should have a lifetime of 10
years it still doesnt worth to buy it (for example 13 $ each month á 10 years: 1560 $).
When i remember right the price of LoTR Online for Life edition was about 150 $.

Maybe the best thing of this version except the the disappearing of the monthly fee:
A PERSONAL INVITATION TO DRINK THE WHOLE NIGHT BEER WITH THE DEVS
but like i said: maybe.

UPDATE:
THE #1 of 999 went out for finally $5,100.00 !!! And the whole money will spend to DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS USA!!!! Awesome StarVault! (*_*)!

 about me

Herb. The prince needs it.

I love this community.

Sorry for being sometimes a wise-ass or a nag :)

=====================================================================================

Male,
born 1988 in Poland,
and live in Germany since 1992.

Working besides my
autodidactical studies
of GameDev and Design
as a customer consultant
for one of the biggest
publisher for print media
in Germany.

My interests:
GameDevelopment, GameDesign,
3D-Design and Programming,
Mastering Mac OS X, Linux
and Windows, WebDevelopment
and GraphicDesign and
Crack cooking

======================================================================================

My first console was the Sega Mega Drive,
which I got when I was 7 years old.
My dad decided to sell it, dunno why,
and so I had to wait 6 another years
for my second console the PSX.
Yeah....a big era began.

It was a new wonderful world.
From a book fan to a video gamer
over night.

My second console, the PS2,
was not so revolutionary but ofc a new
experience.

I think about 4yrs later when I bought
my first very own high-end notebook
I started to getting into Western RPGs
and Shooters.

I made my exam as a economic assistant
in 2007, only for my dad who wanted me
to acquire his small caretaking company.

It confused me, that he wanted me into
business stuff...because he bought
me my first programming book when
I was 14. So i thought:
FU all!

I left him and his crazy polish
girl and thought to give a f*ck.
And started learning 3D/2D Graphic
Design + Programming on my own.

That was two years ago.
I had a girl, we had some plans.
But when she started her apprentice-
ship, she left me (nothing new).

SO....one year ago, I met THE
person I with that i would
spend my whole life.
Her name, Vera, which means
TRUST.

Yeah, she is a graphic designer.
And 10 years older than me.
She were disappointed by love
and I was by life.

She was pissed about the graphic
industry, thats why
she started to study natural health
but when she heard what I wanna to do,
with video games and web design,
she started to work with graphics
again and we decided to found
a web design / graphic studio
in 2 years.

Since one year, Vera and I,
cannot thinking of being splitted.

Only 10 days we have not seen us.
Of course some fights and problems,
especially at the beginning,
but nothing to worry about.

The conclusion till my
21st year of age(now):

Have patience, work/learn hard,
trust only yourself and get
a person who you can
trust for life time.

I have just problems with
ppl who dont even allow other ppls
opinion. There is everytime
a compromise. Everytime.

The future: I can see bright stars on the dark sky.

A sweet bird that stayed on our balcony.

A slowworm we found in the garden....sweeeeeeet!

The town where we live.

A look out of our window.
