What is the purpose of Brinstar Depths ; well I'm going to tell ya! This will be the
first of many (I hope) weekly C-Blogs concerning my interests and rants about gaming.
I assume to take full responsibility of JOURNALISM and I will report my findings and
my thoughts on this particular musing. Now without further do let's go deep down the
dark and abyssal depths of Brinstar and meet with my psyche.
The gamer in me.
It is without any shame that I will admit I didn't bought any core games for the past month
now; as a collector it is really hard to overcome the unsatisfactory of emptiness
and lack of epic loots. The main reason of this void is caused by the absence of
core games worthy of both my interest and my money.
Let me explain in a more specific way. As I look upon the arid summer slowly burning
my skin I must advise you all that if we don't act now we will all suffer of
what we call (VYDIA GAMZ DEHIDRITATIONZ)
The symptoms are easily noticeable:
- Absence of New Game proteins acquired by smell once a newly bought video game
is brought to the den of solitude.
- Increase of alien thoughts leading to unwanted purchases such as figures, comics
and 90's action flicks.
- Plain and simple dehydration from too much fapping. (Could be from tits or from Ass of the
Creed 2, Even Bayonetta)
Now my fellow robot worshipers there is no need for chaotic behaviors or popular uprising,
this phenomenon as we know it is hardly unexplainable.
We are entering what is know as the "Dead season" and thus by all mean you should
remain calm and drink a lot of sugar-high beverages.(If you are diabetic I would
suggest chewing on Bear paws ; My Canadian knowledge of earth's beneficial remedies
is unquestionable just DO IT!)
My asylum to the depths of Brinstar occurred many years ago and it led me to ponder
on our gaming needs during these hard times. We must find ourselves addictive and
simple games in order to overcome the hazardous burden that will be unsolved until
the very glimmers of fall.
May I suggest Plants VS Zombies as the perfect remedy ; It will solve all your
(VYDIA GAMZ DEHIDRITATIONZ) for about a week or two until you find an other good
acquaintance to your needs.
Such as World of Goo or even BlueBerry Garden.
You don't need Red Faction Gorilla or ->Prototype^:^ ... why spending 69.99$ on a game when
you can enjoy the cheap but somehow warm comfort of an indie or a casual game.
I myself is well aware of this fact and I have overcome the NEED to buy full priced games
each and every week. I might even have found the perfect game for my clumsy hands
Let's Fap is a game made by the creator of Sonic the Hedgehog and by
definition is blatanly casual; For 29.99$ what can you lose right?
Now you must say;
HWAT TEH SEAL EEZ WRUNG WITH YOU SON , AIN'T YOU A GODDAMN HRADCORZ GAMZ'R ?
Well yes actually and quite an instructed one , see even thought my words seems
outspoken I can still enjoy this big fluffy pillow of a casual game; It's like diving into breasts.
Let's Tap will be the second coming of Raptor Jesus and I will testify that I will
enjoy each and every bit of it without any remorse nor shame of playing it.
Less and less time is offered to my well being and the summer will be long and hard
(That's what she said) In between my work and my several screenings of Star Trek
The Next Generation Seasons I will admit that I'm quite a busy gentleman right about
now and I don't feel like playing a martian rebel or a hooded douchebag.
I want to tap on a box and enjoy myself like any other small-brains on this planet.
You will buy it and we will have a wonderful time.
Don't be afraid of the casual games they love you as much as I do.
Oh well , enough rambling for now ; I shall return to my lair.
You are standing in front of Brinstar Elevator chamber
You require 5 missiles to enter the chamber.
Shall you find them until next time?
Amen. I have a stack of games that I haven't finished up, and know damn well that I'm still going to go out and buy Ghostbusters today.
@Kraid;
You know, you make a good point about the merits of casual gaming (price v.s. enjoyment), but I would go one further and suggest people start scouring the used shelf at Gamestop for some titles they may have missed. Overlord is about $15 used now, and that's really a hell of a buy for a great, current-gen game.
To much Shoooterz, not enough fun. yay for Audiosurf and Psychonauts. And Beyond good and evil.
They have cured my mainstream migrane.
I will still by ghost busters.
I was thinking the same thing actually after my write up . It might be a very good period of the year to discover cheap titles that are still worthy of our attention while conserving all are cash-money for the giant storm coming up in fall.
I am strongly going towards the Pixel Junk games for my next purchase.
But, you're a crazy dude Kraid, that boredom pic totally made me LOL. Good shit
I've heard awesome stuff about Pixel Junk. I'm looking forward to picking a few of them up for myself.
Also, this blog is not getting nearly enough love, but I hope that doesn't prevent future Brinstar Depths from being written.
Anyways, I definitely agree on the price v enjoyment factor, as one of the other commentors said.
