Weekly round up. I haven't been too much of a lurker on this site anymore, I usually post my entry and take off, though I've been trying to change that and with that being said I should be more interested in the feedback left on my entries. Granted, with Wrestlemania going on I was a bit distracted with getting this done on a Sunday. Eitherway, get all your inane questions in. TrickyNicky (01/21/2009/) "If any of you gents have an early production Dreamcast, you should get your hands on Giant Gram 2000. It's basically All Japan's last wrestling game before Misawa, Kobashi, and Akiyama split and created NOAH. It has all of them plus Kawada, Hansen, and Giant-o BABA!" I haven't been able to play the first Giant Gram and Giant Gram 2k, I don't know what's the different between them either other than maybe a few more characters, possibly. The game does look awesome though, a bit more cartoony than the others aswell. Mushman (01/20/2009) "...great video posted, I do love wrestling fro the NOAH promotion, makes the farce that the WWE has become seem childish in comparison. NOAH has some of the most brutal wrestling matches I have ever seen, and no one even bleeds in them! I seriosuly doubt meatheads like Batista and half of the other new WWE wrestlers could last 10 minutes in the ring against an excellent, incredible wrestler like Jun Akiyama. Glad you are a fan of NOAH! :D" It's actually from a supercard/tournament called WRESTLE-1, tons of guys from different promotions like NOAH and ZERO-1 get thrown into it. I like NOAH the most since they carry on the King's Road style that All Japan Pro Wrestling used to have before the split. Regarding WWE's talent, I think there's alot of great wrestlers there that are being held down or watered down for whatever reason, not to mention WWE's target audience is TV-PG now. michiyoyoshiku (03/29/2009) "You know King has alot of KENTA's moves" I think King ututilized alot more of Tiger Mask and Great Muta's moveset, really. Not to mention, KENTA's entire moveset usually revolves around stiff kicks, I don't know King for doing too many kick based moves. "OH also Wolf wasn't in Zen Nihon Prowrestling, he was in Giant Gram." I think you're thinking of a different game, the one I'm referring to is an arcade game called "Zen Nihon Pro Wrestling Virtua" that has Wolf. SephirothX (03/31/2009) "So which game would you recommend more? SvR09 or LoWM?" Based on modes and match types, I'd go with SvR09, gameplay isn't bad either, probably the best the game can get since HCTP. I'll have to get the full LOWM game to really make a choice though, to some extent it just feels like more of the same, but I'd probably pick it over SvR09 just based on the controls that seem much more fun and the whole old school feel. I would say nostalgic, but then again I wasn't alive to see most of these wrestlers in their prime. Mxyzptlk (03/31/2009) "No Macho Man? Really?" There's apparently some friction between Randy Savage and Vince McMahon, though it's not clear, some say it's because of a relationship Macho Man had with a very young Stephanie McMahon. Artemus (04/03/2009) "I have yet to play a Fire Pro wrestling game... Should I get the one for the PS2 or what?!" Try to find yourself a Game Boy Advance emulator and get ahold of the two Fire Pro Wrestling GBA games, see how you like it. The learning curb will take you a while to get the hang of, but after getting passed that you won't be able to put it down if you want realism, it's about as realistic as you can get for a wrestling game. If you like it, look into getting Fire Pro Returns for the PS2 or the updated 3D Japanese Fire Pro game: "King of Colosseum". On an unrelated note: KBS Youtube mix Since I don't own the right to any of these songs, I can't make a CD with them on it and distribute it and it would be too much trouble to upload them all in MP3 form in a compressed file onto a Rapidshare or Megaupload site. So here's the much easier and faster equivalent.
