I feel his pain so much, it's not just EA either, now that consoles have HDD's and the Internets game companies don't test this stuff like they used too.
Before if you released a game with a "game ending bug" you were fucked and had to offer replacements... now they release it, let you find the problems, and then patch it a bit later.
It's seems like every other game released is actually a beta test nowadays.
