Wait until you get to the Thunder God. It's awesome.
Though I liked 'Dawn of Sorrow' more then 'Portrait of Ruin' (hence my avatar), Portrait DOMINATED my life for 3 straight days. And it's one of the few games I tried completing everything on the first run through (the only other game being Super Metroid).
Sorry I have to share - it's not really a big accomplishment for the 99.9% of people who played it, but it is to me! :D
