So, I dunno if you have heard of this game or anything. It's had a few trailers and stuff, but I mean it isn't that big or anything. It's called BioShock, and it's a single player FPS. Considering there is no multiplayer (A feature I fully support as well), I was curious to see what the achievements would be like. Most FPS achievements, usually just involve beating levels on different difficulties. But spanning out 1000 points over completely single player seemed kinda weird to me. I'm just used to online and offline achievements now. Now I don't have to wonder, since the list has made it's way into the internets.
From the looks of them, it looks like a lot to do considering the material. Big ones include fully upgrading all 6 weapons (Handgun, shotty, tommy gun, bowgun kinda thing, super soaker looking gun, and something else), researching stuff and hacking stuff. I'm going to assume the secret achievements are mainly story based, which still annoys me. Why even put secret achievements on there? If I don't own the game and I look at your list, I'm not gonna give a shit about finding out what the secret achievements are. Just make them all public. Anyway, there's 10 secret achievements, with one paying out a hefty 100 points. Considering that achievements for completely the game on difficulties are public achievements, kinda makes me wonder what that one pays out for. The first level achievement is also public, so who knows. Maybe it's a training level or something?
Then you have the more random ones. Shocking enemies in the water (Fuck you spear gun from Crackdown, I have to try this now), hitting a jackpot on the slot machines, finding audio diaries and all little sisters. Overall, from the achievements alone, it looks like there is
a lot of material to do in this game. This has just made my excitement for the game much bigger, since I was worried it would be rather short. Most FPS campaigns are.
