This story makes me want to cry, but only because some kid half my age is a better gamer than me. Victor M. De Leon III, also known as Lil' Poison in the pro-Halo community, has been features in games magazines, gotten a sponsorship from 1UP.com, and done product endorsements. I guess he's good, unless people are playing off the whole 9 year old thing.
In all seriousness, this kid has skills. He, his dad and 2 uncles cleaned house in a Halo tourny and swept 4th place. This was when the kid was 4 years old. At 5, he entered the top 64 Halo players leaderboard, and at 7 came second in another tournament, this time a singles where he lost only to his uncle (Beating out over 500 other players to get there). What makes this story even more awesome is that this kid is still in school, and actually does other things during his free time apart from killing his fingers with a controller.
Anyway, you can read an interview he did with the New York Times from the source below. And if I were you, I'd check up on your Halo skills. Next time you get fragged, it could be from someone with only 1 digit in their age.
