Here I am again, after another week of learning. I really had fun this week. I started learning the basics of the "Python" language after several recommendations, and continued to work on my first game!
The Python language seems to be a good "launching" point, from what I've heard, and will hopefully allow me to balance my expectation with the reality, a little more clearly. The courses and tutorials I have been following seem to be going over quite well, and I look forward to digging in a little deeper, and seeing what they have to offer.
I know I promised that my first (small) game would be out this week, but after some thought, and a couple really good ideas, I've decided that I'm going to need more time. Releasing a game that is not at 100% of what it could be is just not something that I feel comfortable doing, especially as this may be most people's first impression of where I'm at. So rather than releasing, I'm going to hold on to it for a bit longer, refine, and then release when I feel comfortable.
And, because I felt bad about breaking last weeks promise, I've put together a little "trailer" for my upcoming game, Skybase.
That's it for this week. If you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section, and I'll do my best to answer them. And I'd like to thank you guys again for the support for this series. I think we could have a nice thing going!
