As
Go Nintendo have reported, the latest Wii update blocks the Freeloader, rendering it useless aswell as the Twilight Princess hack.
Those who updated and have a Freeloader have two options it seems:
1) Wait till some sort of patch is released
2) Sell the stuff and get the original games
I'm personally not that affected, since I have a few people I can sell my US copy of Smash Bros to for £40, and the I can just get the UK one for cheaper. Anyone been caught out by the update?
Ants can have neon blue theme discos.
If you have a Wii that is.
and live in Europe...
and use Freeloader...
gotta ebay my brawl asap
It's kind of funny that they decide to block the freeloader when Brawls release is next week just to remind people why they bought the freeloader in the first place. It's also a dick move that Nintendo are effectively saying "you've had your fun now go buy the game again like you should have done in the first place instead of sidestepping our release schedule"... fuckers
I thought it all ended with Brawl.
Was it not Nintendo that themselves said those who imported where a minority on GC, and that they didn't mind us importing games. While everone has updated to the Wii, this sitiuation shouldn't have changed just because Nintendo are in the lead.
This kind of underhand cock blocking, without even so much a word of warning to gamers, shows how much their respect has gone us and how they continue to fail on customer service, because they are in the lead, they get all fucking draconian on us.
This rings echoes of those draconian SNES days all over again, and no wonder many developers don't like to work with them. I'd like Dtoid to question Nintendo about this because its very underhand and out of order. Their agents of spinning bs will probably say more insulting stuff to us no doubt.
What Nintendo will probably do is, paint it as a move against piracy, as its easier to paint homebrewers and pirates as the same beast, than deal with them separately.
My advice to you all, don't update or buy another Wii.
