Missed ya bud
...while I start freelance writing to cover my expenses.
Doesn't freelance writing mean that you are doing it for free?
No, it means I'm not working for one company, instead I'm doing work for clients who don't have permanent writing staff. Most magazine writers are freelancers, as are the kinds of writers who do things like desktop publishing for businesses.
Oh, the forums died so I added my e-mail address if anyone cares about this stuff.
@Hydrotonix
Google is your friend.
@hydrotonix not necessarily. I'm a freelance videographer and I get paid. quite a bit actually. also, to the author of the blog: what kinda writing do you do?
I want that logitech wireless ps2 controller... E-Mail sent, name your price sir.
@MONODI Oh hey! Someone remembers who I am.
I'm looking forward to the day I have time to play games regularly again... I realize now it's not going to be like it was in college or high school where I just play whenever. I'm probably going to have to set aside time just for playing games every week.
@Hydrotonix
The opposite actually, he'll be writing for profit but simply not for one organization/blog/magazine. In short, he'll be shopping his writing around and looking for buyers or individual commissions.
Fortunately I just got a tip for a technical writing job in the research center at the local university, from someone who works there, and it's part time so if I land that job I can pay the bills while kicking off my freelancing efforts.
I always said I'd sell everything I own before I would get a real job. Now it's looking less like a joke and more like a self fulfilling prophecy. ha.
@Finne I'm going to try as many kinds of writing as I can for now and see what I can enjoy and what sells. I'm developing an article on a laptop orchestra the music technology department is developing here. I'm also getting in touch with local businesses to see what kinds of services they need. So I'm really trying to learn the business across the board.
Best of luck to you!
I want your Yoshi to complete my set...lol
There was another in the set, but he seems to be hard to find, Toad.
I used to have those plushie things. I ordered them from some kind of Nintendo Catalog with points.
I'll ask a couple of people I know to take a looksie at your stuff.
No cool ass T shirts? :(
Glad to hear you taking it all in stride, but still it's sucks that you have to sell all your stuff. Hope things work out for ya man.
Sorry to hear about your current financial situations.
I am recently unemployed too.. and I'm broke but will happily take any donations of whatever junk you need to get rid of... Especially, plushes!! :3
Sent you an email :[
If you have any PS2 action games, respond to this comment, I'll email you...and buy them.
Good luck man...it's tough out there no matter your profession.
This blog really reminded me of this clip.
E-mail sent.
Good luck to you man. I'm a freelance designer myself (TOUGH business, damn) and I know how rough it can get. Just keep your chin up and always look towards the brighter side. :)
That sucks. When I first lost my job. I had to find stuff to sell. The Wii was the first to go for me and then came some of my Xbox 360 games. Sometimes we need the money more than the games.
On another note, you could sell your body? I was to fat to do that.
Tough times, man.
Tough times don't last, tough people do.
You really take great care of your stuff!
That classic Game Boy and NES style Game Boy Advance SP look to be in perfect condition.
I've always wanted that NES style Game Boy Advance SP.
Good luck, man. I know how difficult it can be to part ways with material things. Take care. =)
How much you want for Kung Fu Hustle, the GBA games, and the old-school Game Boy?
This doesn't mean I'm buying anything, I'm very cheap and am soon to be quite poor (new TV).
Good luck!
Oh man, I know your struggle. The job market sucks and I've been getting by selling my video games. Now I'm down to 1 DS game, 1 ps3 game, 1 wii game... and a bunch of ps1 games which I doubt I'm gonna sell.
I have good news.
