Good morn to you my fellow FOPs. It is day one of the Penny Aracade Expo, and we the FOPs are here to create a most unvexing surrounding for those of us not attending. I am Lord Johnathan of Huffton and I have an inquiry for you myfellows.
Some of you may know that I have the vexing task of sharing a dwelling with one of our most infamous of community members, Sir Necros of Terminus. Now Sir Terminus has the largest amount of unused, untouched and unplayed most expensive pre-order or special edition games of video.
I have taken the liberty of creating a list so that you my fellow FOPs should help me decide which of these I should play and subsequently defeat before my flat mate returns on Tuesday. This list however is quite short due to the time constraint, I want to be sure I can defeat the games within this end of the week.
Maximus of Payne
MIrrors Edge
Bionic Commando
God of War 2
Blaz Blue
I appreciate the help my fellow FOPs. Good day to you. I bid you farewell for now.
9) He is a lightweight. He gets drunk real fast, which may be a plus for us since we can then screw with him and light him on a fire. But as a man he should at least be able to be a better drinker.
8) He hasnt played Bioshock, Dead Space, Fallout 3, etc. etc. etc. The list goes on and on and on.
7) His Hair. If you could call it that, its more like a hairy metroid latched on to his head since birth.
6) He says he a community man, but really have any of you seen him post recently? Nope. nothing but Failcast and each month hes lazier about the completed games list.
5) He knows more about Pokemon than any grown man should.
4) He is a racist. Hates the Blacks, the Latinos, hates em all really.
3) Hes got more consoles than you can shake a stick at. Hes gt the GBA Micro... seriously Necros... wtf man?
2) His MASSIVE backlog. Yes I said it. He has a HUGE backlog... of games that he has yet to play. I mean most of us have a backlog of games we would like to play, but cant due to one thing or another. But this man has bought Super Special Extra Limited Editions of games and has not touched them. No wonder his games conspired to RRoD his XBOX a while ago.
1) Its Necros. Really there is no better reason to hate him than him being who he is.
About a week ago I won his Fallout 3 weapon contest with my patent pending Nailer gun. Kazua was nice enough to send me an envelope full of goodies.
So yesterday I receive and envelope kind of like this one. (The real one was thrown away by my clean freak mother before I could take a picture of it for the prize blog.)
Since Kauza said it was a mystery package prize I pondered as to what it could be.
So when I opened the package this all came out, and very neatly arranged themselves on my bed. Which is a nice touch Kauza, how you did it is a mystery.
I was pleasantly surprised and a bit confused at first.
The first thing I noticed was this baseball card.
Mike Schmidt.... Ok.
Then there were 3D glasses. And I appreciate their awesomeness
Next is the weirdest of all the package. This Russian progressive rock cd (According to Kauza).
It has an interesting sleeve as you can see, and the art work is pretty nifty. May just put it on my wall for the lulz.
Then there was the first two Lord of the Rings Movies. Fellowship and Two Towers.
It was a Nice touch to put those rose petals on there Kauza, much obliged.
And Finally there was Silent Hill: Homecoming
Another rose petal, how sweet.
All in all I was pleasantly surprised and got a good laugh out of this mystery package. Thanks Kauza and I hope you can go ahead with another contest so I can see if I can win another one of these wonderful mystery packages.
Last week, visiting he RvB site as I usually do I was quite happily surprised to find that the Rooster Teeth guys have once again restarted our favorite machinima series Red Vs Blue. This time with Relocated.
Reconstruction
Relocated Funny?
Relocated departs from the super serious tone of Reconstruction and g
oes back to the comedic formula of Red Vs Blue. The crew, which for now only consists of Griff, Simmons, Sarge and Caboose, have been relocated from Blood Gulch to their new bases of operations in Valhalla. Two episodes have already come out and both are pretty funny, though episode number 1 was more of a setup and was reminiscent of parts of episode 1 and 2 from season 1, which is by no means bad.
From what I understand this is a sort of mini series that will go in between Reconstruction and whatever comes next. Kind of like Out of Mind and Recovery One, a little while ago. It will be a setup with a few answered questions and a more comedic approach. I can't say any more without spoiling things so those of you who are not caught up can stop reading here.
Ok, if you ventured here I will assume you are up to date (i.e. finished Reconstruction). Hopefully Relocated will have Church return.... but in what state, wil he return as Season 1 church or will this module have all of the memories that the Reconstruction Church had? What happened to Washington, is he dead, or alive? Where are Tucker and Donut?
Sure I disagree with some of his practices, and his buying habits, BUT I genuinely like the guy and consider him a good friend.
9) I lurked DTOID for about a year
8)I have an unhealthy obsession with some animes and characters
Namely Gurren Lagann, and Hiruma (Eyeshield 21). I cant tell you how genuinely giddy I get at the mention of anything Gurren Lagann. I absolutely LOVE that show, more than any game or movie, I cant help myself. As for Hiruma, I just like the guys style so much, his laugh, his swagger, his bad-assery, I find myself saying YA-HA!! constantly just to see if some of that cool will rub off.
7) I want to change my name to Johnathan Doran
I'm sick and tired of people mispronouncing my last name and having to spell it out for people. I also really like the name Jonathan Doran.
6) I hate my birthplace
I was born in Puerto Rico, island in the Caribbean, current territory of the U.S.A. Now I am not bitter because it is a territory, I am bitter because: A. The status has been up in the air forever B. Those who want independence for PR are happy enough to go study in the States, on federal grants or student loans or what ever, then come right back and bad mouth the U.S.
5) I am deathly afraid of letting my family down. I am literally on my last rope here in college. Ive fucked up, a lot, and was told by my department that If I did not shape up they would not let me register for classes next semester and I would be removed from the student roster.
4) I was on Gaia... for longer than I care to admit.
It was a stupid point in my life.
3) Even though I am in engineering I dont think its what I want to do with my life
I enjoy my classes, as they are computer related, and not at 8AM. But I do not see myself actually being happy in an engineering job. In truth, I want to be a cook, I really like food and learning how to prepare things.
2) I am one lucky bastard right now.
I really don't deserve the girl I'm with right now. She is so nice, and goes out of her way for me; and I am just so lazy and will frequently judge how inconvenient it would be for me to go visit her.
1) I make plans that I have no idea I can actually go through with
Like PAX for instance.
And a bonus
0) I let what my parents will say decide what I do. I hate being lectured by my parents, and I let them override what I want to do just to avoid them dissaproving of my decision. Even though I'm 20.
As we all know, today Bethesda released the first DLC package for Fallout 3 on the XBOX 360. Operation: Anchorage.
First off let me say that I unconditionally LOVED Fallout 3, to me it was perfect, it could do no wrong. So I was, to say the least, VERY excited about Operation: Anchorage. And again Bethesda did not disappoint me with this DLC. Taking place inside a VR simulation that you are asked to enter by the Brotherhood Outcasts , you know those guys in the red and black power armor that broke off from the Brotherhood that helps you out for final half of the game, Operation:Anchorage is a simulation of the battle of Anchorage Alaska in January 2077 (This date is on one of the newspaper slides that show up on the loading screen). Your character takes the role of an American Army special ops soldier charged with taking back Anchorage from the Chinese army currently overtaking the area. After the initial assault on the heavy artillery on the cliffs of Anchorage, you have three more objectives.
1) Destroy a fuel depot so the Chinese can no longer fuel their Chimera Tanks, which are modified drilling machines, kinda look like a miniature Shagohad from MGS3.
2) Takeover a Chinese listening post so the American Army can use it ti spy on Chinese transmissions.
3) Once the two prior objectives are complete, the player must take down a pulse barrier that prevents the army from taking down the Chinese stronghold.
All 4 objectives can be competed by a veteran player in about 2 hours, as usual however you can explore to your hearts content. After the first part of the mission you gain control of a small squad which you can customize which type of unit is int he squad. The squad is useful at points, but can just as easily be left behind, with out consequence. There is also a small diversion where you can find 10 pieces of intel in Anchorage, though I'm not sure what they are for.
I was entertained, and was not let down by Operation: Anchorage. I highly recommended it for everyone who wants to wander the wasteland once more... Just be warned.. its Fucking Cold.

I'm JohnnyViral (formerly RHWeeeee6), a junior at Syracuse University, Computer Engineering student with a hardware concentration, and a very angry puertorican.
I enjoy in the partaking of video games, critically looking at games and ranting about them.
Also I watch anime and read manga. It's mostly mainstream stuff, though I do like to dive into the old school stuff every once in a while.
I listen to rock, punk and metal. I'll listen to anything that is not reggaeton (if you have never heard it consider yourself blessed). Also, The Misfits is the best band ever.
