Mr. J Justice's take on: Exclusive DLC
Johnny Justice | 10:23 PM on 10.01.2008 4 comments

This was originally intended as a comment on Brad Nicholson's story about
Bethesda not offering DLC for the PS3 release of Fallout 3.
I went on a bit and thought maybe I should give this blogging malarkey a go.

I'm not a DLC buyer nor is Fallout 3 high on my list of games I'm looking forward to.
Still, I believe releasing DLC exclusively for one console and not the other is unfair.

Imagine yourself in a crazy world where taking your car for an automatic car wash rivals video games on terms of entertainment.

Think of buying a game on its own as going to a car wash and getting a standard wash.
Well, that's just fine and dandy, if all you want is the standard service and only want to pay the standard fee.

Now think of buying that game with downloadable content as getting a premium wash, only there's a problem; A certain car manufacture has made an exclusive deal which only allows drivers of their cars to use the extra service and that's just too bad because you drive a car of one of their competitors.

Well doesn't that suck? You choose to buy you car (console) based on your preference and you're being denied the option of extra service because of it.

Where's the justice in that?
