Heya Destructoid Community,
Chris and I have been in the early stages of the pre-visualization of Metacell 2: Beyond the Gate, the exciting sequel to our first game, Metacell. We are at the part of the development cycle where we need backing through the "pre-ordering of custom collectors editions". We have launched our kickstarter campaign to attempt to generate early adopter interest and get this game made.
There is a lot of information that I can go into about this project in terms of backing, rewards, game design etc. but I will just list some key aspects of the project here and further information can be found on our Kickstarter project page

Kickstarter gives you the ability to surpass your pledge goal, so I have broken down how additional funds will be spent from backers.
Mac and Linux release of Metacell 1 and 2 (Tom has to build it into the engine, and that takes a lot of time.)
Metacell 1 and 2 ports to iOS, Droid mobile and tablet versions designed specifically for the use on the intended device, will be placed into production.
The game is $1 forever. Pretty much all sales will pumped into the pre-visualization, pre-production and production of our super secret next project

The game is free forever, which means we have reached enough to place our super secret next project
that would have been our next Kickstarter.com crowd funding campaign (not Metacell 3) into fully funded development!
Metacell 2 game source code will become a public domain, allowing anyone to acquire and play around with it, and we ask just one thing: remember the kindness and pass it along! Let’s support and strengthen the community :D. Also, we will begin production on Metacell 3, the final and exciting conclusion of the journey of Dominic and his crew. What we make from 400% to 600% and BEYOND will be poured into the epic conclusion of the Metacell Saga (man I am getting excited!) That game will need a lot of financial support so you will probably see us back on Kickstarter when that time comes asking for the community’s help to finish it off!
