I was originally just going to reply each person who wrote to me a message. But I realized that by doing that no one would really see what is being said. I also wanted to do this to further my explanations. I also wanted to show that I do acknowledge people's input. It would seem rude not to reply to those who were nice enough to read my ramblings without some sort of acknowledgment.

i liked the sonic and knuckles parts in the first sonic adventure but a giant cat with a fishing pole sucks and really killed the momenteum(?) for me. and why no gamegear sonic love? that one was fucking awesome."
I do agree about Big's fishing adventure, I have no idea why they did it personally. I personally would of made big's levels maybe like underwater adventures or something.

I liked the new Sonic games on the GBA and Ds a lot. But for every good game the blue Hedgehog stars in, there seems to be also at least one bad one...
That can be said for just about any video game series.

I can easily defeat this statement by pointing out that both Urban Champion and Legend of Kage were rereleased on the Wii's VC, despite being some of the worst NES games ever made.
And I can easily defend my own statement by pointing out for Sonic Adventure that it sound over 1 million copies in North America alone. It easily made itself the top most wanted game for the Dreamcast. Also, Sonic Adventure 2:Battle sold 1.44 million in America and made itself one of the most highest selling games for the Gamecube. I may not believe in reviewers scores but I do believe in sales statistics that easily show that it is no where near your Urban Champion or Legend of Kage.

The Sonic Advance games are very good. Everything else since the Mega Drive has sucked (apart from Sonic Advneture, I quite liked that).
You do realized you contradicted yourself, right? Also, have you played every single known Sonic game to make that statement? Or is this based on the ones you have actually played yourself?

"One of the Destructoid's editors"? I'm offended.
Anyway, Sonic Rush was average at best, in my opinion. I wasn't a big fan of it. The last Sonic game I truly loved was the original Sonic Advance.
That's not to say I am shitting on Sonic games, per se. It's odd that you'd accuse Dtoid of that, since our frontpage has more support for Sonic Unleashed than any other games site. I'm one of the biggest Sonic fans on Dtoid, and I can recognize he's lost his edge.
However, I liked what I played of Sonic Unleashed, so I am really hoping it's the start of a new chapter.
Didn't mean to offend. I rather have an average game than a badly made one. I believe as gaming has evolved to become bigger and better we do not give the 'average' ones the chance to really be noticed. I believe we as humans only want to the best of the best and if something is less than superb we are to consider it "sucky" or "bad" and put them on the same level as ET for the Atari.
I never accused Dtoid of doing anything of the sort. All I said was:
Below I will do everything I can to set the record straight here for anyone who is bashing the blue blur of gaming, and after reading one of the Destructoid's employees saying how they need to make him "better", it just got me motivated to do this entry.
I never said the Dtoid was bashing, I was saying his article of how to make him better motivated me to make my entries. It was the combination of bashing (though I never said from which source, something you may want to keep into consideration when thinking I was suggesting that a Dtoid was doing it) and the article itself (that part was the one referring to the Dtoid).

Here's the thing, though. Sonic introduces these new characters and then forces you to play as them when many may not actually want to. Meanwhile, Mario games introduce new characters, but you still only play as Mario (or Luigi), and not the new characters. And while you still only play as Mario, each game still manages to be different because they introduce creative new elements. Also, those characters feel much less like a little girl's fanart like some Sonic characters do...
Okay, I'm just talking about Silver and the Babylon Rogues (and maybe Tikal). While I do actually like many of the characters they introduce to the series, the problem is that Sega tends to make very ANNOYING Sonic characters. Examples include Silver, that Raccoon girl from Rush Adventure, Amy, and possibly this new character in Unleashed (though so far I only see him as a cute little guy and don't necessarily hate him yet).
Majority of games that have other characters usually make you play as those characters. Not true, there has been several Mario games you are suggested to use in order to unlock things. And it's odd how Mario is allowed to have the freedom of having new experiences but when Sonic does it (talking about unleashed) people complain about it before the game has even come out yet. For some reason it was more acceptable for Mario to have a talking Super Soaker on his back and cleaning levels than Sonic being cursed and having to find out how to be normal again and restore the power of the emeralds seems stupid to the majority.
I don't see a problem with Silver, to be honest Silver's levels in Sonic The Hedgehog next gen was pretty much the only reason why I really touched the game. Sonic's levels made me want to scream everytime I was in act three of every level only to be thrown off from a loop I didnt have any control over and smack into the water constantly killing myself due to the glitch. Shadow's levels weren't that bad, pretty much a smash and proceed kind of thing. But the controls for the weapons and vehicles kind of made it hard.
I also didn't see a problem with Silver's personality or purpose, he was a telekinetic person who went to the past after being tricked to destroy Sonic.
The Babylon Rogues I doubt will ever be shown outside of a Sonic racing game for some reason.
I don't see a problem with Amy...sort of. She just seems like a typical girly girl. I had fun in Sonic Adventure with her because running away from the robot ZERO that seemed almost invincible was a different feel for a Sonic game. Instead of running towards something, you were actually running away from something.

WTF. You fronting?
well, thanks for agreeing with me and i am flattered i got your first response. but still no gamegear love, dammit lol. it was a great sonic game that is almost always forgotten about due to the fail of the gamegear but i had one and it was leagues ahead of what the gameboy was at the time, just too expensive and hard to find now but if you can find it and that sonic game it is totally worth it.
@Holyetheline
What are you talking about?
Wasn't fronting anything. if you read what i wrote I said I was replying to everyone to what they were saying to present my points out.
Way to not read =/
