Last week Sonic the Hedgehog (Or in this case Sonic the Werehog) released a short animation movie featuring Sonic’s newest adventure and the first glimpse of Sonic being a werehog and what he is capable of doing.
I won’t ruin much of the plot, but what I will say is that the plot of the short film is rather enjoyable. None of the character’s in the short film talk besides Sonic and he says one word. I like how they were able to pull off a story without even uttering a single word.

The visuals were amazing. From Sonic’s model animation to the dark and rainy scenery it looked just as good as the new cut scenes I have seen in the new Sonic Unleashed game. I don’t see how Sonic or the scenes could look any better than what they did. And after seeing Sonic in his new form, being a werewolf fan that I am and having a strong belief werewolves are better than vampires….I am starting to hope he doesn’t lose this new form for a while. I think they have a great concept of Sonic over coming this new problem that maybe could explain something deeper about Sonic or more about his alter ego form for a few games worth of story.

The running time is 11 minutes and 30 seconds and well worth taking a glance at. You don’t have to download anything, just go to the official site and take a look for yourself. Some people have told me you can download it from the Sega website but I obtained the video through other means (because it was a lot faster). The size of the movie is about 223 MB for those of you who are curious. It’s rated E for everyone for those of you who want to let your children watch this short film you won’t have to worry about anything that will leave them screaming in the middle of the night.

The only real complaint I have about the movie is that they released it so late. It would have been really nice to have been able to watch this around or during Halloween.
