O hai!
Listen up, I've got a Wii on my hands that I have absolutely no need of, due to the fact I am planning on leaving the country for good sometime over the course of the next year and unlike my 360, I can't bring anything with me, as Nintendo are total fucknuts who control overseas gaming with an iron fist. With my 360, a lot of my games aren't region-locked and I can at least transfer my profile and hard drive stuff. Not so with the Wii, I'll basically lose everything.
That's why it's no good to me. Why bother buying new stuff for it when I won't have need of any of it, no record I ever played it, or anything? Anyway, to cut to the chase, I want to get rid of it rather than having it collect dust for the next year. I figured I'd do Ebay, but I want to offer it to someone in the Dtoid community first.
The Wii has a bit of superficial damage (top flippy thing that hides the GameCube controller ports is loose. Nobody could tell, though) but it comes with Super Mario 65 and Super Mario Kart loaded on the VC, as well as a classic controller. I'll have to double check the games for it, but off the toppa my head I know we have Wii Sports (obviously), Twilight Princess, Resident Evil 4 and Eledess. Actually, that might be it.
Anyway, if you're interested, hit me up at my personal email address, morphinejim@gmail.com and we can discuss monies, deliveries, that sort of thing. I'm pretty much prepared to cut a decent deal, especially given the minor damage. Naturally, I'd prefer someone London-based, so I can simply hand-deliver it and not worry about postage, but we can work it out either way wherever you are in the UK.
No worries if anyone's interested, I'm sure I can easily get rid of the thing, but I wanted to give you guys first crack of the whip.
Love and kissies.

But seriously, I can only play European region games on it right? All the glitched and neglected games right? hmmmm...
it also played in black and white on the PAL sets.
And to add insult to injury, I get Metroid 3 for my birthday two weeks ago.
Basically, I can still use my 360 in the UK, sell it just before I move, and continue my 360 gaming life without losing very much.
The Wii is a different story. I'd lose my contacts, I'd lose my VC downloads, I'd lose everything. Buying ANY games for it now would be a complete waste of time. So, my 360 is still getting used while I'm in the UK, but my Wii is gathering dust.
Is really that bad? I visited the country early August, it was i think the most expensive country i ever visited but London is a hell of a city (and so it is Cambridge).
Anyway i ask because some people i knw from there are also leaving the UK. They say because of the weather and the taxes.
