Here we have further proof that gamers tend to, sadly, be reactive, defensive, whiny crybaby bitches who scream and rant at every perceived threat to their favorite console or game. Our Lost Odyssey review hit News4Gamers with my opening paragraph attached, which reads like this. Admittedly the intro seems engineered by the poster to look negative, however, the score was included and people could actually READ the reviews Orcist and I wrote:

It's true that shooting games seem most at home on Microsoft'sred ring machine, but the platform is certainly attempting to provide a variety of gameplay experiences. One area in which it has sorely been lacking is JRPGs -- scratch that -- good JRPGs.
Enchanted Arms was a flop, Blue Dragon is widely regarded as disappointing and Eternal Sonata, though an excellent stopgap, was not without its glaring faults and left fans wanting something more. Well, something more has arrived and it's come in the form of Mistwalker's Lost Odyssey.
Visually, Lost Odyssey is rather good looking, though not the prettiest title on the Xbox 360. There are nice effects, such as backgrounds and foregrounds moving in and out of focus as you move around the world, but ultimately it's nothing jaw dropping. The framerate issues are sadly true as well, with the 360 sometimes struggling to run it smoothly.

On the likely chance of sounding like a fanboy, I love my 360. It has my favorite games currently and I personally thought the RRoD ref was funny. I am a victim of it, but I didn't bitch about it.
Also, I read your review and I'm seriously considering giving up on mt next prestige on COD4 to play that game. (Yeah, I agree with the shooter comment too)

I've been experiencing some weird kind of zen phase lately where instead of hating everything, I'm at peace with all systems and all genres of games and feel no need to attack other people for their opinions. It's called "maturity." I don't think it's going to be a fad that catches on, though...

I'm going to go on record and say that gamers aren't any worse than other groups. Seriously, you pay enough attention to people going on about music, movies, or art, and you'll find there are just as many pretentious pedant cunts (just look at many of the responses to most of my cblog posts :p). Thing is that gamers more than many others have embraced the internet and the anonymity that it offers, so you hear more from them.
This is possibly the most annoying thing ever. I hate when people post a comment and make a point based on reading my first paragraph. Especially when later on I made the exact same point. I know there are lots of words to things but come on at least skim eveyr sentence.

I think gamers are pretty good group. Our biggest flame wars are nothing to what you can find on ESPN.com, and when it comes to the movie industry they are so stuck up they don't realize that what they vote best picture doesn't matter to the general public.
