Whats happening?

I just got back from BestBuy and picked up the 360 Messenger Chatpad, and I have to say it's pretty damn cool.

Just like reviewers have said, it snaps in, feels a bit heavier, nice tactial buttons. It's really solid accessory. I like the how the presentation of messenger overlays the stuff your watching/playing. It actually makes the messenger feature of Xbox Live worth it.

If you got the extra coin, and you're on the fence - I'd have to say go for it.

I was thinking of getting one because my mic broke and I'm using the old ear abusing XBOX 1 headset. Those lights, though. Are they battery raping? Do they shut off after a while or all they always on? They should only turn on when you hit a key or something. Like phones.

I just wish I could change my damn windows live ID. I have no one on my friend's list with it and migrating everyone to it would be a huge bitch.

Too bad I put my actual age on my Live account now I can't use the messenger, and turned 18 and still can't use it.

It's key - They only turn on when you hit a button on the Keyboard.

Im not sure you get the floating chat box with a regular kb and mouse plugged in, so that feature alone is worth while. Like I said though, only if you got the spare coin. I doubt all you guys like msn on xbox anyways, and I was just sick and tired of being auto logged in, and too lazy to dig into finding that setting to turn it off (Im still not sure I can lol)

But anyways, I've used it alot the past few days, and anyone worried about battery life - its high time you got yourself a recharger station anyways.
