With all of this GTAIV gameplay footage and intro footage, youve got to imagine it is going to blow up through the rest of the week/weekend. I am going to try my very best to avoid ANY videos of GTA. Does anyone else like me want it to be a complete surprise from disc insertion to end credits? I am going to try and keep myself busy this week and keep my internet browsing to a minimum. You know how it is these days... those videos and screenshots are going to be posted on every site possible by the end of the week. Here's to keeping it real surprising.

Yeah I'm with you, I like just seeing it for myself, unless a series is really changing something up. Gameplay mechanics, is a good example. And this also means not really reading alot of the blogs here on this site at least. Good luck Sir, and Godspeed.

We are in the same boat. What's really going to suck is when my roommate beats it before I do. I have yet to beat a GTA game.

Should be pretty easy to avoid.. seeing that you have full control of your hands and eyes.

I've looked at some of the vids, and really the quality is so shit, it doesnt matter.

And really, nothing beats playing it yourself, its like watching your friend play a game, yeah you've seen it, but your still eager as hell to play it yourself.

And I've watched all the videos without audio, so its all still pretty fresh to me.

The game baisclly looks the same in motion as it does in all the trailers...not to big of a difference.

When i watch my friend play a game it actually usually ruins it for me... for example.. fable.. played half... watched the second half, lol. I know where you're coming from though. I still want to experience the game full on!

this won't be hard for me. As i'm not really all that crazy for GTAIV at the moment. I'll get it but....somewhere later.

I approve of this message. Hence my plan to go out into the desert and be plastered constantly till next Tuesday! (Actually I'm going to Coachella, which really takes the edge off the GTA IV waiting game)

I think trying to avoid any GTAIV material would be harder for me than watching the occational video of Niko just driving around. I will definitely not be watching any in-game cutscenes that could contain spoilers though.

I'm keeping my dtoid browsing to a minimum, but only cause I'm nearing the final weeks of class with essays, presentations and stuff.

I'm with you, man. I want everything in that game to be new to me. The noly thing I've seen so far is the radio stations, and at that I didn't even look at the commercials.

I hope you manage to pull it off Jay. It sucks hard if you don't want to see anything and someone post a hell lot of spoilers somewhere you don't expect it to be. I'm also with Grim. A little bit of footage can't hurt. It even makes you wanting to play the game even more!
