New Rig For Mom, Part 2

Most of the parts arrived today. All that is missing is the case, which UPS is showing as scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to finally playing some UT3 and Portal before returning to school next week. Both suxor on my Dell M1210 laptop.

Nice parts except for the processor and video card. I would have skimped a little on the ram and hd in favor of a better processor (c2d e6750 @ 2.66ghz) and a better video card (8800GT). Also your dog is unspeakably awesome.

@1Trace1: Dude, I know. It was seriously tough not going for the 8800 or 9600 GT. It came down to the fact that machine will mostly be used for Photoshop/Word in a "Fast User Switching" environment (you know that memory hogging feature where two people - my parents - can both stay logged in?).

I'm looking to build myself a PC next year when SLI finally starts to yield some performance improvements.
