What if I've finally turned into what they've always said I would turn into? A maniac. A psycho killer. A guy who enjoys quoting Sin City.

In a brief description, I play all genres of games. My personal favorites are and always will be platformers and shoot 'em ups. Galaga is probably the first shoot 'em up I have ever played and still manages to hold my attention to this day. Platformers, jeez, far too many for me to name. There are a few FPSs I like, but only if they manage to be different enough from the rest. I have my fair share of fun with other genres as well. Except fighters, I tend to be pretty bad at those but it still doesn't put a hamper on the amount of fun I can get from them.

I was born in 1990, my first video game system was a Sega Genesis and it was probably the best thing I had ever had the chance to play. As the years went, as did my interest in the video games field. Parents and relatives usually got me game consoles for birthday and christmas gift, you wouldn't believe how excited I was when I got my first SNES. My older brother and I did all we could to pool money together to buy GameBoys (Possibly a GameGear at some point as well) and eventually the Playstation 1 and 2. I can safely say that I have interacted with every Nintendo, Sega, Sony, Microsoft, and a few Atari consoles and handhelds at least once. As of now, I still play games as often as I can, despite my game library has not been expansive as it once was when I was in my "prime." Since GameFly and various other rental places popped up, I have still been able to keep playing to my heart's content.

As of now, college usually eats up some days. Whenever I'm not doing college activities, I am improving my drawing abilities, watching movies, expanding my musical tastes both new and old, partying with friends, eating cultural food and, of course, playing games.

And I am a sucker for just about anything film noir, enough so that I occasionally write in that style. Rad stuff.

A Quick Sketch: A Little Something for Ms. Davis (NVGR)

I really do hate being busy in my normal life, as it means that I don't usually get that much of a chance to be my lovely sardonic self here. So of course, I wanted to make some use of my time, so I thought that during this time away from here, I would expand on my drawing skills.

It's kinda strange, I've seen dozens of anime series, and I've had moments where I thought "Hey, I want to do something like that." But I never had the initiative to do such a task, so I just wanted to go on with my life as normal. I did draw, but it consisted of simple things like robots, plants, pretty much anything that are not people. Strangely, by the time I came across this site, something changed for me. I came across Ashley Davis and my whole perspective on the matter changed for me. She never viewed such drawings as a job, she did it because she found it fun to do and she loved to do it.

Anyway, I finally felt an urge to jump back into the drawing saddle and learn some new ideas along the way. After various online drawing tutorials, drawing books, and even getting some tips from a friend who has been drawing for years, I felt like at least getting the basics down. Also, I learned about drawing scarves along the way, and everyone knows scarves are awesome, then I learned how much Ms. Davis loves scarves, so I felt like doing a little drawing for her.

Three hours later - with a half hour of that spent trying to draw the damn hand, seriously, I hate drawing hands - I come up with something that made me happy, because I actually spent some time actually working hard on something that I wanted to do. And blah blah blah, Ashley is awesome, scarves are awesome, hands suck, and critique this as you need. This is actually the second "good" drawing I've done this entire summer, so I would like some criticism from the expert artists in this area.

I like it! I think you've got a good eye (hand?) for drawing. Hope to see more. I'm the shittiest, most useless artist you'll ever see, so I can't offer you any suggestions other than to keep showing us your stuff!

Wow! I am delighted that I could inspire you to draw! And it's such a well done drawing, too! Saving to my hard drive now.

Hands are a bitch. It's a pretty universally accepted fact that they're the hardest body part to draw anatomically correct. But you did a really good job on them! I can't draw hands at all, hahah.

The only criticism I have is that the legs are a bit too small in proportion to the rest of the body... but I'm not really the right person to go to for drawing tips, since I tend to keep things simple and cutely unproportional myself. :)

But seriously, thank you so much for this. This came totally out of left field and it's made my week! I hope that you draw more in the future!

Considering I can't draw anything (not even animals), this is a million times better.

Anyway, great drawing :] Didn't know you liked to draw in fact :] Keep it up.

pretty goo, man, but it looks like she needs a bit more shoulders. and yeah, the legs look too thin or the torso too wide.

pretty fantastic job on the clothes! keep at it!

I really enjoy the comments, guys, this will help me be able to improve on various parts so I can make these drawings look better. Also, I have to admit, I was so focused on this drawing, I didn't have any big ideas on what I wanted to do next, hehe. Hopefully, I'll be able to think up something pretty soon.

Again, thank you all, especially to Ms. Davis. :)

My only recommendation would be to touch up the face (maybe thin it out?), but apparently no one else said that, so, haha: sorry! Everything looks great dude.

I didn't know you could draw like this!
