Too Human or Lost Odyssey?

Too Human
This game is based around the future of technology and its effects on mankind and the story is based on Norse mythology. It is the first of three games with an estimated development budget of US$ 80-100 million each. As part of a trilogy the game will feature a unique leveling system that allows the player to progress from level 1 to 50 in the first game then while in the second game the character progresses from level 50-100 and in the third the character levels from 100-150. This is the most expensive video game ever produced. This game has been up in the air since the PS era. It�s had a lot of time to marinate so let�s hope it�s groundbreaking.

Lost Odyssey

You play take the role of Kaim, a man who has been sentenced to live for 1,000 years. The gameplay revolves around the many generations of which Kaim is a part of, his loves and losses and conflicts of a world nearing a mystical industrial revolution. I just saw the new trailer on this and it looks like MS got their stuff right. The 360 is a gamers best friend!

Too Human sounds great, but I get the feeling that Lost Odyssey will be out first. So I'm going for the latter.

Lost Odyssey. Matter of gameplay preference, and I'm feeling the vibe of an over-hyped game around Too Human.

I think both will be very good. The reason why I picked Too Human is because its been around for so long yet hasn't been scraped. It must have potential. I like Lost Odyssey because of the story, damn! They both have great stories.

Too Human won't be released..if it does, it will suck. It shouldn't cause they've had umpteen years to make it. They should've just stuck with Nintendo Games where they actually made products and good ones at that.

At least Lost Odyssey isn't some stupid "let's call it an RPG even though it is a Hack N Slash game" game, it looks like an RPG.

Really? All I've heard around the interwebs is negative hype for Too Human. I actually think it will turn out good but all I've heard is negative buzz (though not from press other than the E3 thing).

I say Too Human due to gameplay preference and my love of old mythological-type stuff. While Lost Odyssey may be arguably more original in its tale, Too Human just wins me over with the whole Norse angle. PLUS the apparent customization of your character is off the wall. I will rent Lost Odyssey. I will buy Too Human.

They both scream 'titanic', but they also both have promise. Lost oddysey looks a lot more my type of thing, I just hope it isn't massively old fashioned, like blue dragon is meant to be.

Lol, you have some real problems with genre identification huh? Not knocking you, just saying I think it's funny.

Obviously it's a hack/slash but it has the RPG elements of say Diablo, plus a lot of emphasis on story. It's just the western definition of RPG. I don't think they're trying to trick people into thinking it's turn based or anything.

The biggest issue I can see with Too Human will be when it finally comes out. If it sucks, then the press will all jump up and say, "See? We told you it was gonna be terrible!" And along those same lines, if it turns out to be good, everyone will nit-pick about what's wrong with it as well as say, "This is good, but why did it take so long to make?" It's a lose-lose situation for Silicon Knights in my opinion.

Which is why they need to drop everything and start on that Eternal Darkness sequel right now!

I would want Too Human to come out sooner than Odyssey, with the Noris Mythology and all, but that won't happen sadly, because Epic and Silicon Knights are in a bitch fit.

Daikata... I mean, Too Human looks like it has some promise, but like the internet's been saying, it's been in development hell for way too long. Hell, I've been waiting for this game since 1997! That's a long ass time.

ZeroTolo's right, just drop that shit and start working on Eternal Darkness 2: Eternaler Darkness.

But yeah, Lost Odyssey, my money's with Sakaguchi.

Silicon proved they can make good games. Eternal Darkness was one of the best Gamecube games to get released. I have faith it can be a good game, but the whole lawsuit with Epic and Dyack acting like a drama queen has me questioning if what they've got is even worthwhile if the best they can muster is a choppy runthrough and one opening cinematic in the 5+ years they've recently, actively worked on the title.

I have a terrible taste in my mouth when it comes to Too Human, but mostly because they aren't making Eternal Darkness sequels instead. It's immature, I know, but dammit Silicon Knights is toying with my emotions!
I don't know anything about Lost Odyssey, so I will check up on it, but it already sounds better than a broken heart.

Too Human looks like pwn and Lost Odyssey is pretty interesting and a nice change after Blue Dragon's style.

But yeah, both look damned awesome.

I've got a feeling Too Human is going to be more like Fable in some aspects though.

Not that that's a bad thing mind, it just might affect others opinions.

i feel dirty postin here but you mentioned Too Human, so im forced ((holds back vomit)) ok Silicon Knights is doing some interesting things with Too Human but i have a feeling it'll go the way of project H.A.M.M.E.R. Plus they have stolen everything to create "there" game, i mean a 5 disc PSone title with full funding to ((2007 unrel3 tech driven war machine)) come on, not to mention them raping Epic and lying to them about there modification so its imposable to help them... this is about as believable as the Phantom gaming system...

Lost Oddessy is playing off the Final Fantasy crowd of gamers, its just another of another of another... *yawn* been done..
