I always figured that they should market the PSP to new parents! :)
... it seems perfect for all those late nights (especially feeding times) with it's ability to watch movies as well as play games on the go. Even when kids get older and you're stuck at soccer camp or ballet lessons... it's a nice way to spend the time.
Awesome pictures!! Your daughter is absolutely adorable!
A great blog! Yeah, being a new Dad does take it's toll on gaming... but wait a few years until you're playing some game like Little Big Planet with her - those will be some awesome times and great memories!

The second year is super fun and bonus, she'll sleep better at night. My kiddo goes down at 8 and doesn't get up until 8 the next morning so I can usually squeeze in a hour or two of gaming in the evenings now. Keep an eye on those handhelds though, anything with buttons will soon become her favorite thing to snag and run off with and she will run.
I feel you man. My son will turn 2 on October first. I have to warn you though, things will get more difficult. My little monster can now run faster than me and sometimes I think he's smarter... this means I still get pretty much ZERO time to play games.
I hear that once they turn about 8 years old there should be time to play games, as long as they are playing with you that is.
If you end up getting a 360 let me know, I could use more understanding parents on my friends list... you know, in the middle of a game "HOLD ON! BABY PROBLEM!"... people who won't complain if you're AFK.

She's actually on a pretty consistent schedule now (down at 8:30 up at 7) so things have gotten a little better. I actually got to boot up DQ8 again and after spending an hour or so remembering where I needed to go, my wife saw that I was improving Jessica's "sex appeal" which started a funny conversation on what games may or may not be inappropriate for our daughter if/when she starts to game

As a father of a 4 year old girl, I can honestly tell you it is awesome to play games with your own kid. The faces that my daughter makes while playing either Rock Band (she sings or what she calls singing, I play guitar or the drums) or Boom Blox is amazing. I too have enjoyed the greatness of what a DS can bring when I can't do the consoles and that is the only way really I can enjoy playing a RPG anymore (sadly thats the truth in my case).
So while new challenges arrive with having a kid, remember its the best game that you will ever be a part of (well thats just kinda of the way I always thought of it)
