Endless Possibilities, but Not a Single Guarantee.

Have you ever thought about your chances of dating a model or a celebrity in most cases the chances are slim, unless you’re well known, have stacks of money, or a hearty beard like that of Y0j1mb0, but have you ever known that a goal or dream of yours was literally impossible for you to achieve? Not because you’re a lazy bastard and won’t make any effort toward achieving this goal, but because something is holding you back that you can’t control.

In even the most beautiful, extravagant, open-ended games such as Fallout 3 or World of Warcraft, you have the ability to experience every part of the game, so long as you have the time, but in the real world things don’t always work out. You can’t grind or level up until you become president or do a few missions and talk to an NPC, to date Jessica Alba. For instance, I wish I could relive my senior year in high school. Although the ability to do so may exist, via time travel, I more than likely won’t be alive to see this scientific breakthrough happen and if I do I’ll probably be too old to experience it.

“Life sucks, then you die” words spoken by many people, but there was only one person that I remember saying it, my uncle. He had everything he wanted in life; money, cars, a loving wife and two beautiful kids and even so, he was never satisfied. He always tried to reach the “level cap” of life, but it seems there is none.

Unlike the games we play every day, we live boundlessly, reaching new peaks in science, discovery, and knowledge, every waking moment until the end of our days, while even then life continues with an endless array of new “content” and undiscovered “Easter-eggs” around every corner, that may remain unreached or undiscovered. Endless possibilities, but not one guarantee…

Our lives are interesting not knowing what’s going to happen next, yet games and movies are equally interesting, and we can usually determine the unfolding of the plot before it happens. It’s the steps to get there that make them awesome. I guess if you think of it that way, we do know the major points of our lives, for the most part:

1.) Birth
2.) Stress
3.) Death

My purpose for writing this was to give some of you my insight, and to know what some of you think of this matter. Have any of you felt the same way? Do you want something that you know is impossible? Have any of you tried to reach your impossible goal?

I personally like to think that America is the one place in the world where you can do just about anything if you really want to. Apple was started by a guy playing around with computers in his garage. Pixar was started by a guy who realized one day that all he wanted to do when he grew up was draw cartoons for a living. Harmonix was started by a couple of college students who enjoyed music. The new President Elect is just a guy who didn't like the way things were going in this country and wanted to make a change.

I truly believe that you can do just about anything if you put your mind to it. Sometimes things just don't work out, but that doesn't mean that they "can't" and "won't" ever work out. I don't think there is a level cap in life and if there was life would be boring. You can always do more, always push farther, always reach for a higher goal. That's what makes life worth living.

Some people are NEVER satisfied.
Some people are satisfied w/ Simple things.

(( We live on a "Planet" in "Outer Space"... WTF!
& Yet PPL trample PPL @ Wal-Mart for material possessions! ... A BIG WTF! ))

The only thing I believe gets me through the day each & every day "Common Sense & a well defined Center of Being"...

If you have those & the basics, you are good to go.

I'm slowing reaching all my goals... but yeah. Life can be pretty much hell sometimes. You have to do a lot of changing whether you want to or not in order to reach certain goals in life.
