The Facts:
- It takes place in the late 60s.
- Peoples daughters are disappearing (no guys, just girls).
- Strange lights (underwater "flares") are being reported by various ships.
- Unidentified footprints with "an unusually long stride" and "shot feet" found near where the lights were reported.
Speculation:
Whatever is going to happen, I don't think it's going to stay "beyond the sea." With scientists, missing children (and their parents), and everyone else who is investigating the whole event (is the person who is writing on all of the articles and pictures a possible protagonist?), this is going to involve the outside world someway or another.
Are they coming here, or are we going there? What do you think?
EDIT: I also believe that the girls being kidnapped COULD BE the same little sisters from the first game. That would mean that the bad ending of the first game was the actual
wrong ending.

I'm starting to get scared...
Why does this not interest me as much as the first? Probably because the first was actually good...
SO, prequel or sequel?
@Velt
Good point. Maybe the kidnapped victims end up being little sisters?
"I also believe that the girls being kidnapped COULD BE the same little sisters from the first game."
Most likely they are just grabing any girls who can be turned into little sisters. And from what was described I'm guessing the kidnappers are those new Big Mommas.
@Rogue Trooper
Yeah, that's probably it. Connecting different lines brings up knew and interesting ideas though, despite the fact that they're probably wrong.
It would be kind of cool to have the Big Mommas come ashore to find the girls that were taken from Rapture.
Maybe the Big Mommas are the units that find the girls while Big Daddies only protect them?
No matter how you look at it, it seems like the Good ending is the right ending. The daughters being kidnapped are either the original little sisters being taken back or little girls being kidnapped to become new little sisters since you cure the other little sisters and bring them top side to have their own lives, thus depleting raptures amount of little sisters. But going with my assumptions I would have to say it's option #2 because the good ending gives me the impression that you raise the cured little sisters and not other people.
@Intruder
It's an interesting idea but goes against what the story says in the original game on how the little sisters came to be. If anything else, Big Mommas would be the ones who nurture the little sisters while they aren't in public, which would only make more sense since back then a lot of women were considered the nurtures of the family while men were considered the protectors and providers.
and whats the deal with airports anyway? you got the long wait times, goofy security protocols and not only do we get legally retarded security personal but some of them are even handicapped too! and i'm not talking about joe from family guy handicapped but like missing their left titty boob, bottom jaw and only a skin covered lower leg with absolutely no muscle whatsoever handicapped. i hate airports.
@Qraze
I know man, I feel your pain. Airports just flat out suck.
"shod" feet. As in wearing shoes.
It's in 1967, meaning sequel. Bioshock was 1960.
The girls are completely unrelated to the first game. The kidnappers are looking for one girl in particular, hence why they all look alike.
@Grimhound
Sorry, typo :)
And the date slipped my mind after I wrote it. Silly me.
