Obscure Games: The Adventures of Cookie And Cream
InsaneSuicides | 10:32 PM on 06.22.2008 4 comments

Well I was just sitting here thinking about how many great games there are that are extremely unknown yet great. I have never been one to try out different games and stray from the norm, because I don't like renting a game that is completely awful, same with buying. I mean most of the time the unknown games are awful thats why their unknown (most of the time).

Well for me, my favorite unknown game that I enjoyed the most was The Adventures of Cookie And Cream for the PS2. Its kind of a strange and random game, but I enjoyed playing it a lot with my younger sister. It is kind of childish, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. I ended up beating the whole game.

I was always Cookie who is on the left in the picture above, haha probably because my sister wanted to be the pink bunny. I probably played that game 60-70 hrs, and I enjoyed it so much. I actually just checked gamespot's score for the game and they gave it a 8.1/10 which in my opinion is pretty surprising since I hadn't thought many people had heard of the game..

Or maybe I am wrong, maybe the game is well known? At least from my experience it isnt.

So my question to you is, what is your favorite "obscure" game?

EDIT- I actually have The Adventures of Cookie and Cream in my room (caught my eye as I walked in)... I would be willing to sell it and ship it to you if anyone is interested (dont have a PS2 any longer).. It is a great game really, and also a great game to play with a sister/wife (ha, my sister seemed to enjoy it).

Gaming addictions
InsaneSuicides | 12:30 PM on 06.22.2008 13 comments

There were 2 games that I have ever been addicted to, and could truly not quit playing I enjoyed them so much.

The first game was Starcraft. I could play it for hours on end, and I used to love Protoss. Zerg was probably my second favorite, but I would sit and play starcaft all day during the summer.
I used to love the custom maps, and one of the funniest custom maps I ever played was the break the condom map, which made me laugh my ass off the first time I played it

My second game that I could truly not put down was Mechassault 2. Which your probably thinking how? Well, I am not really sure why I enjoyed it so much, but I did. It was around the time of Halo 2, and I played Halo 2, but Mechassault 2 did it for me more than Halo 2.
My favorite mech as the Belial, and I would sit there with my clan (187 soldiers) all day and night playing. I haven't the slightest clue what made me enjoy the game so much, but I did.

What games could you not put down?

First Entry!

Well this is my first post on Dtoid, and I have never been much of a blogger, but I think I am going to give this a try since it is so community based. I like forums a lot :P

Well I have a 360, and a super pc, and I try to game on both. My 360 just RROD'ed so I am working on getting that fixed.

The most recent game I have been playing is Spore Creature Creator. I was surprised at how much you can do, so I went ahead and bought the full version. It's provided me so far with at least 4 hrs of play time.

I am really excited for Spore itself, but am I only the one who seems to be in for surprise as to how Spore is going to be played? I understand all the phases of the game and such, but I still don't see the full picture.

I hope to make some friends on here and hopefully learn something :P

AH and dont forget to add me if ya can
