Another shameless self-promotion.
The longest-running and #1 Metroid website on the web turned 13 years old today.
This year has definitely been the biggest year for Metroid news. Other M, MPT, Shadow Complex... Yuki and her brilliant Samus costume... but yet, Nintendo still continues to give the Metroid series table scraps (you remember seeing a TV commercial for MPT? Oh yeah that's right, there wasn't one) and they wonder why not enough people are into the series...
But on a lighter note, we are proud to be the longest running Metroid site and will continue to be the best for as long as it takes! Check out the site for some other blurbs by myself and the rest of the staff.
Like...I could personally care less if you promote it, if you like the site; but good God man, at least write a thank you letter to the community: a synopsis of the site: or SOMETHING!
Nevermind...
Destructoid's been in there for quite a while.
And since better short blogs than this are constantly shat on, I assume I'm not alone.
A place where you "don't flood the C-Blogs with inside jokes, one-word/one-sentence posts, and other nonsense that might be considered trolling or spamming. Put actual effort into your posts. Repeated spamming of pictures or words will likely earn you a warning from the Community Manager as well (and your blogging privileges may be suspended temporarily)."
What are forums?
A place for one to two sentence throwaway content like this.
If you honestly don't give a shit: wow.
You've seriously jaded me on helping people. I could have been one of the thousands who passed this blog over without bothering to comment on the quality of the site, but I gave you some tips (and criticism that others give out freely on Dtoid), and payed for it.
I can see your point but you DID come on WAY, WAY too strong. You're points were right, but it's the way that you proffered them.
Eg: 'Look, I'll just elaborate in case you're being dense.'
That just comes off arrogant and a tad dick-ish. It WAS uncalled for for him to refer to you as a troll on the front page but, playing devil's advocate, it's easy to see where he's coming from.
Either way don't get me wrong - I consistently enjoy your posts, it's just I have the outsiders benefit of being able to see both sides, and from where I'm sitting the fault is mutual.
(PS: sorry if my ramblings make little to no sense, I'm leaving for the airport in an hour to go on a short break to Corfu and I'm childishly excited. /end useless info)
(Christ, I feel like a counsellor...)
Yea, I came on too strong. The shitty part about the internet is that I couldn't stress enough how much I loved his site, and mostly angry drivel came out.
