(I'm sorry. I'm a bit ecstatic at the moment so I can't form coherent thoughts or sentences)
There was a lot of cool and fun little touches that made the Iron Man movie so great. There were a few that stood out to me...

- So, we had the Ten Rings organization (Mandarin - I think so).

- You had the Warmachine schematics.

- What happens after the credits! Awesome.

Then Butmac had mentioned that supposedly Captain America's Shield was visible in there as well.

Take a look at the left hand side.

That would seem a little weird for Tony Stark to build an Iron Man suit for himself, plus a spare, and then give a little shield to Captain America. Real philanthropist.

But yeah, hope it's just an easter egg.

That's cool every one has their favorite character and there is no reason to put them down for it! Maybe if there was a Captain Canada.....naw he would be too lame..lol

I have roughly 200 or so comics and my favorites have to be: Green Lantern, Fantastic Four, X-men and the Punisher with the Punisher being the character in which I have the most comics in. When I was younger I also liked the Ghost Rider, but he just sucks since that shit hole of a movie.

My dad loves comics as well and has a bunch of them for me.
His favorite character is Super Man and believe it or not he used to have the #1 Super Man (worth about $150,000 now)but his mom threw it out when he moved out to college (she even backed this up, we lost her two years ago) but he still has the #1 Dare Devil and the #1 Silver Surfer as I've seen them.

Forgot too add that I have a few Iron Man comics and thought (think) he's a pretty cool comic character as well and I always picked him when he was available in games...lol

I'm hearing Captain America and The Avengers flicks are looking at a Summer 2011 release. Thor (from the guy who directed Layer Cake and Stardust) and Ant-Man (from the guy who directed Shawn of the Dead & Hot Fuzz) are coming next year.

@Mxy: The new IGN article with this information actually claims Thor will follow Iron Man 2 in 2010 after Thor is "introduced" (likely a cameo appearance) in IM2 in 2010.

That leads me to believe they're going to use the Ultimate version of Thor, not the traditional mystical version.

Oh well, at least it'll be completely badass to finally get all these characters on screen, let alone together for the Avengers movie.

I don't see it. Well, I can see the resemblence, but I think you're trying too hard.

Loved the movie though. I just wish I was more informed on these comic book story arcs so I could get these little shout-outs to the series. During the scene after the credits, I was just thinking "Morpheus? Is that you? o.O"

I don't know samuel L jackson ain't nick fury for me, guess I juts love classic fury too much. If if had been kurt Russell though...

And I'm not even sure if that is a shield it could just be a lump of metal from a weird angle.
