Hoygeit [hoi-get]
I actually don't know how to correctly pronunciation of the name in the language I drew it from; I was just immediately fond of it.

Or as Tazar once put stated:
"What's up hoyuegetierouitg!"
Which, in standard Tazar fashion, is awesome.

I would like to get a tablet PC but they’re kinda (REALLY) out of my price range.

Yesterday, MaxVest introduced me to this neat DS application called ‘Colors!’ It’s a small DS application you can run with any DS Loader.

(Sorry for the crappy image - thought I'd try my hand at illustrating Peach again)

While not a real substitute for mobile tablet, does a really good job and is really quite a lot of fun. The brushes feel akin to Photoshop (which I’m used to) and the color picker akin to Painter.

Let me do a quick copy and paste of the features they have for it-
• Hard and soft circular brush
• Pressure-sensitivity can affect opacity and brush-size
• 512x384 image resolution with 2 stage zoom
• Replay the whole painting process of an image
• Hue-circle and luminance and saturation-triangle style palette
• Load and Save to memory card

COLORS!

(seems Cowboy TTop had mentioned this in a blog earlier this year and I totally missed it.)

I love colors but I'm nowhere near as good as you. Aweomse.
Yeah I concur with inchworm, colors is Aweomse ;) But I'm not the best with speed painting sadly.

Also, who knew that the DS was pressure sensetive?
Excellent stuff man. Looks awesome.
I agree, I got colors a month ago and it was great. Still yours is better
I looooove Colors. Wonderful job on Peach! She looks amazing!
hey wow thats really impressive, Hoygeit! I'm downloading the program right now, so hopefully I'll have something to show you soon :)
Fucking amazing!

I've had Colors since I got my R4 about 8 months ago, but I could never do something like this. So good, Chanh.
Haha, thanks for the kind words. :)

Man- seems I really missed the boat on this one. Couldn't seem to find a blog about it initially and thought I'd share.

Sorry!
Yeah, I remembered hearing about this waaaay back in the day when Kotaku ran an article on it. The main point of interest was the fact that the DS touchscreen is pressure sensitive, although no other software that I'm aware of makes use of it. Glad you like it!
That's pretty damn cool & I didn't know the DS touchscreen is pressure sensitive!
I never heard of this until now and...I'm going to get it when I get home :)
Strangely done a post on Colors before, but no one was interested. Oh, well!

Anyway, I got my Cyclops DS and downloaded Colors, and being an artist myself, its a recommendation for anyone looking for something different and cool for DS.

Just wish someone like Ubisoft, would look at releasing Colors officially. Its definitely a great flagship for the otherwise frowned upon homebrew scene, and shows what can really done by the small guy.
:O
Looks amazing, you really have a great talent.
Now i wish i had a DS with a loader and try to make cool Teta draws some destructoid.
@Cowboy TTop:

Post your stuff somewhere! I think seeing what you can do with the software is what gets people interested. Otherwise it's a little abstract.
Thank you for this post. I snagged Colors and spent most of the day with it. :)
