Ico + Shadow of the Colossus Collection Release Date?

For sometime now we have seen a "Spring 2011" tentative release date for Ico + Shadow of the Colossus Collection. however i attempted to narrow down exactly when these revamped classics would come out and my heart sunk. amazon and ign list a 12/31/2011. could this be true?... just from general perusing , and no real extended internet matlockery (google) gamefly and gamestop list the games as tbd. and most other sites list a spring release date.

so what's going on here? thats such a huge push back if its true. i am no game programmer but man i hope the 3d looks good if thats what the hold up is. as soon as march came around i began to salivate in anticipation for this. any clarification to this? my psyche is fracturing as we speak :(

That's just the tentative release date that many stores put. It usually means "It will be released before the end of the year". The moment they get an official release date, they'll change it to that.

I thought Amazon had the listing as May. I'm not sure, though. I think it will be relatively soon, but "Last Guardian" doesn't even have a date itself. This collection very well could launch at the end of the year.

Sony is really starting to piss me off.

Kiosks in Gamestop are already advertising the compilation, so even though the only "date" given therein is "coming soon", I doubt it's THAT far off.

I hope they iron out all the wrinkles and then announce that it will release a month afterward. I have a feeling Last Guardian is going to keep us in suspense, so it'd be nice to have a solid release date for the HD collection to look forward to.

I've heard rumors that the Last Guardian demo could be included in the collection (which would substantiate delays). Anyone else heard anything about this?
