You think YOU have had bad customer service from Microsoft? On Christmas morning my Xbox 360 decides to get the red ring of death, so I sent it away (7 new games sitting on my shelf unopened, mind you) and I get it back this past Wednesday. Turns out, the console they sent me wasn't mine, and it hadn't been repaired yet, so it got the fucking RROD the minute I turned it on. I flipped shit on the Spanish bastards on the phone and they are giving me two free months of Xbox LIVE Gold and a free copy of "Kameo: Elements of Power." Those 8 new games are yet to be played. They include "skate.", "Rock Band", "Guitar Hero III", "Call of Duty 2", "Prey", "Perfect Dark Zero" and "Assassin's Creed". To make things even better, the piece of garbage ate my Halo 3 Limited Edition disc, scratched it all to hell. Oh, and you know that free Xbox LIVE Arcade game? Yeah, my console will be the mail when the deadline is over. I will have to give them a call and demand free Microsoft points or something. This is ridiculous. I totally regret buying an Xbox 360, now. Should have gotten a PS3. Sure, the Xbox 360 has better exclusives, but at least the PS3 even turns on.
I don't know. I've had my 360 for about 2 years plus and I'm scared that after hearing all these systems screwing up recently, that it's going to blow up.
no, they certainly are not. they sent me a faulty console. i take care of my shit. never "tipped it over while playing" or "moved it while a disc was spinning"
the piece of garbage just sat there and had my halo 3 for dinner.
I've also had an Xbox 360 since launch, and it sucks to hear that you've run into these issues, but look at things, your 360 picked a bitch time to break, and I'm sure that you would have received the same issues with "my system not being fixed" from a number of companies (happened with my ps3). I'm not entirely sure where these "Disc Eating" issues are coming from either, I have a launch 360 and my discs are in pristine condition.
no the scratched dvd ain't his fault at all. A good drive won't scratch a freaking disc on a minor bump. the drive in there is a piece of shit and that's that.

Sorry to hear that dude!
Your situation is exaclty why I will not buy a 360 (yet), when I pay for something I expect it to work not just junk out.
Hope everything works out for the best!

Never had a problem with my launch 360. Scratched DVD's are your fault, not the Xbox's.

Microsoft killed my dog and took my girlfriend.... so yeah.
Lucky.
Me, they took my dog and killed my GF.
Bummer
You think your experience is bad? I'm on my seventh. Shut up.
