With Metal Gear available for both consoles and portable systems, one should wonder why Ubisoft even bothers with the Splinter Cell series.
2. Metal Gear is PS3 only, no PSP, no Xbox 360, nothing, just PS3. Doesn't matter anyway, Metal Gear is not a good series to begin with.
I'm not trying to start a flame war with you, but the most recent version of Splinter Cell stunk. Fact. The two prior two Chaos Theory were OK, but nothing more.
Metal Gear has been on Gamecube, Xbox, PS2, and PSP. Fail. Dispite your belief, Metal Gear is a fantastic series.
I like Splinter Cell as well, but I feel they reached a high point with Chaos Theory. The next left a bitter taste in my mouth. Maybe I'm just being too judgemental.
Regardless, I respect your opinion, brother. No problems I hope.
And as far as Metal Gear, it is a good game, and probably more loved than splinter cell. Also it will be coming to the 360, Ron said so.
I'll try to find the quote and get back.
And Kotaku said, "Ubi has pledged an exclusive Splinter Cell for the Microsoft console."
And Joystiq said (Yeah I know, it's Joystiq but it was the only place I could find it at) "Both BioShock and Splinter Cell Conviction (the suspected title for the post-Double Agent iteration) will be console-exclusive to the Xbox 360; BioShock will still be coming to the PC, while Splinter Cell can still be released for the PC and various portable console (DS, PSP)."
So yeah, a DS version is not entirely out of the question.
