*People seem to be all over my case about my OCD to not capitalize, so this is my attempt to stray away from that. This one's for you, guys!*
Aside from the weekly case of the Mondays, I definitely can't complain about today. School didn't consist of much other than older woman bitching early this morning. I'm currently in a constant intelligence battle with my biology teacher, and she's definitely not okay with it. Quoted from her,
"I'm SO sending an e-mail home to your mother!" Awesome. Of course, this was after I insulted her test-making abilities, so I can understand why she was upset. I just can't learn from a teacher that feels she has absolute authority over my grades, whether I deserve them or not. She's way too closed-minded for my tastes. I honestly could care less at this point. (:
The Addiction Continues.
My rogue is currently sitting half-way from level 11 right now. I have definitely enjoyed the game thus far, though some of the quests I completed were stupidly boring. You honestly can't get off of your pre-scripted butt for 5 minutes to go buy alcohol for your party, random Blood Elf guy? I'm under-aged anyway, I'm sure they'd card me!
I met a few new people today, one of which I met from posting my last blog. The other two guys I grouped with for a couple of quests. Their typing skills were worse than mine, and it's a shame because they were probably like 20. From what it looks like, playing WoW kills your brain cells. You stop "talking like this" and you start "tlakin liek tihs gimme lewtz nao pl0x". I don't look forward to that day. They were still nice people though. Hopefully more will stop by to keep little ol' me company? I'd appreciate it, really. (:
Also, I wanted to address something from my last blog. When I told people I was leveling a Rogue, they were acting like I was crazy. From what I've experienced, Rogues seem like a lot of fun to play, especially in the higher levels. Multiple people have told me that a Hunter is the way to go for my first class. The thing is, I'd much rather play a class that I enjoy than a class that levels really fast. Either way, I appreciate the advice, but I don't take the easy route. Hessiana's pretty stubborn.
Anticipation Killed the Cat.
Well, here on the east coast as I'm typing, there's about 30 minutes before the midnight release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I must say, I am EXCITED! I never really got to play much outside the story-line of CoD 4 and Nazi Zombies of CoD 5, because my brother took both of them with him to college. However, this time, my brother has dropped out and I have FPS paradise!
I can't help but be weary. Most things that are over-hyped don't live up to it. Anyone remember Halo 3? People were acting like Jesus was being resurrected on their front porch with a plate of chocolate chip cookies and liquid awesome in his wine glass. To be honest, I thought the game was a letdown compared to the other two of the trilogy. I only hope that this game won't be the same way.
I'm not going to the midnight release, my mom would kill me on a school night (even though I'll be up past midnight anyway). I'm sure some of you guys will have some interesting stories to share, however, as these sorts of things always seem to make the crazies come out.

Questions.[/size]
What's your opinion on teachers threatening to give you zeros for work you did, simply because they don't agree with you?
Do you believe the the Internet has truly butchered the English language?
Has anything in your life ever "lived up to the hype"?
Have fun, be safe, and don't spoil MW2 for me, I don't get it until after school!
Yes, the internet is killing english. Lazy people are killing it harder.
Yes, things in my life have lived up to the hype and even exceeded it sometimes. That's why they are my favorite things to this day.
Also, play a rogue if you want to play a rogue. It's going to get hard in your 20s/30s when all you have is leather armor, but play it if that's what is fun for you.
As for leveling a rogue. Eh, I think I can handle it. My friend tells me priests are hell to level though, so I'm glad I didn't choose that.
Disapprove of things that are a little bit different?
One thing I will say is that getting a zero for my work is one of the things that'll really set me off. Especially if it's an exam. You mean to say, that I could've done myself a favor and done something worthwhile with my time instead of busting my ass and still getting nothing at all for it?
I actually dropped out of my (thankfully unnecessary) Chemistry course in college because the TA could not decipher my handwriting and thus I got zeroes on homework and lab reports (three hours wasted!). Even when I was writing it in BIG GIANT TEXT after taking painstaking amounts of effort to make it legible.
As for hype...well, I don't really pay that much attention to the hype train these days. It appeals to systems I don't have, so I'm kinda removed from the actually-important world of gaming. The closest success story I've had is probably watching a video review of Meteos for the DS. I saw the gameplay and I almost immediately demanded to have the game. And it was just as fun as I suspected. Probably one of my all-time favorite games. :D
I don't really get hyped up for games. I'm usually struggling to keep up with the games that are out so I don't have time to worry about what is coming out.
On the teacher thing... test scores should validate an overall score, regardless of her personal issues with you.
On the internet... I think at one point, yes it did butcher the English language, but with the current fascination with blogging I think that people are better learning to communicate using the written word. It may not always result in proper use of English grammar - but it does result in better writing skills in general.
Hype? I'm old, I've seen lots of hype - I guess I'm rather used to it and it doesn't affect me as much anymore. Which is sad in some ways. Some things actually do deserve the hype... like seeing Obama elected. It truly was a moment in history that I just got tired of hearing about, yet looking back many years from now, it's almost sad I didn't feel the excitement of the time (even though I'm Canadian). The Berlin wall was taken down 20 years ago and I saw the celebrations... and I actually remember the original event quite well. It deserved the hype it got as it was a moment that changed the world - yet, eh... just so much hype over everything that it's really hard to enjoy it at the time. It almost seems more exciting in retrospect.
... that probably doesn't make sense.
No I disapprove of things that are stupid and pointless, "(:" looks retarded, and most people who use them think they are being unique or different when in reality they are just being hipster hot topic trash. Just my opinion anyways, do what you want, I just won't be reading your blogs anymore.
