When you think of the best video game music ever what comes to mind? Is it Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, or any other game? Video game music as come a very long way from the bleeps and bloops we use to hear. However, even with amazing pieces like the Metal Gear Solid Theme there is one theme that will always be what I consider the best. And that theme is
The Bubbleman Theme
Now I'm not a very "retrogamer". In fact I despise most retro gamers since they are usually smug douchebags who think everything that has a polygon sucks. Also I *GASP* was born in the early 90's so of course I could never even begin to realize how amazing "retro" games are despite the fact that I grew up with almost every console "retrogamers" consider their holy grail. No my date of birth signifies that I'm not good enough to know how precious broken ga...I mean "retro" games really are.
Anyway back to The Bubbleman Theme. Yeah its pretty much the greatest thing ever. It makes Old Snake sound like a new track off of iSouljaboy (which comes out November 18 BTW NICCAS). Its just so damn catchy and bad ass. I'm aware that everyone has different taste in music. So tell me, whats your favorite piece of video game music?
Also, the OCRemix 'Bubbleman wants to get funked up" is great, because its basically just the theme re=processed with a strong beat and break down in the middle.
I love this song. Great song from a great series. Make sure you don't stop listening before it gets to 0:40. Everything with over the top guitars and synthesizers is good.
Hmm. Considering just how many video game songs I have on my Ipod, this is a tough decision.
I have to go with Brawl's Final Destination theme though. Mostly because the first 30 seconds of it are arguably the most badass in Nintendo history. And it also gives One-Winged Angel a run for its money in the Ominous Latin Chanting category.
Kind of funny that everyone else seems to go for the 8-Bit themes, and then I jump for orchestration. :/

Probably the classic Legend Of Zelda theme, it's just perfectly suits the game and sounds great no matter what chip is synthezizing it or what instruments plays it.

Anyway, I my taste in gaming music is very rare, but I have a couple of favorites, including Never Forgive Me, Never Forget Me and Room of Angel.
