Thanks for proving my point, its the damn truth in this place, Yojimbo and EDS might be popular but they write quality stuff, most of you guys are popular for all the wrong reasons.

"LOOK AT ME, I'M BEING WACKY AND RANDOM, I'M SO FUNNY AND AWESOME" and of course the community gets behind you in droves. Not mention the humongous amount of ass-kissing some of you do toward the writers of this site.

I'm not saying don't do it, but it speaks volumes about the community here when someone types up something game related, something good, well written and it gets maybe 1 or 2 replaies, 5 max, then someone idiot comes along(like you for example), starts a blog with stupid videos or something else that's WACKY AND RANDOM and its gets like 30 replies.

In other words, if you wanna be popular on D-Toid, act like a moron.

Still, this blog shows that some of you do notice what I say, of course it means I am just cranky, can't possibly that I just have a mind of my own and I am not a sheep like 90% of you, na that's not it.

I agree with you on a lot of points. I hate the ass kissing here; I hate how cool posts get pushed down. I also hate jerks who attack new guys, who get antagonistic, who flaunt their superior attitude like they are something extra special.

For example, I wrote a blog last night. It wasn't anything special, but it was far from fail. When you write "Thanks Captain Obvious" you come off as a arrogant dick. That's not having a mind of your own, that's being a douche.

Yeah, this website is one giant popularity contest. Yeah, many of the well known dudes are lame-asses. Yeah, it sucks when you invest the time and effort and get no response.

But people still keep joining the site. The mods are starting to crack down on some of the stupid stuff that goes on. Destructoid is far from perfect, and sometimes I think it's the stupidest place online. But you, my friend, contribute to it by being a jerk.

I think it depends on your past and how well people know you and how much LOL you can cram in each little thing you do. Usually when people toss up a blog about their gaming set up they get 30+ comments. I posted up my set up and got 11 I think....I cried for eight days

Gay Bars, Cblog wars, and then Super Robot Wars?

I've recently finished Super Robot Wars W, Scape, and I can comfortably tell you that it is indeed, awesome. While the gameplay is something like an easier Advance Wars, getting to see so many anime characters I dig pulling off their coolest moves in a chibified art style makes it a very fun time. There is a problem with not being able to read the mission objections - if you don't speak Japanese that is - which might cause you to inadvertently fail a mission, but as your units get to keep their experience it really isn't a big deal.
