......I can't wait till I can buy a PS3. I haven't had problems with a console since :D what do you know the original Xbox. I'm not really pissed off just a little disappointed. Currently I'm performing the towel trick on my 360 in order to play the Forced Unleashed demo. Lets hope I can get a yob soon so I can own a console that's actually reliable. The funny thing is it's been almost exactly one year since I bought my console. Oh well more PC, PSP, DS, and GBA gaming for me. Also since this lovely red light isn't covered by Microsoft's warranty and seeing as how I kind of don't have a spare $100 on me I may have to red ring my 360 on purpose.

Do what I did. Sell it and buy a PS3. There's plenty to play. And lots to come. Microsoft have been shafting people for so long I don't even think they notice it anymore. LOL.

I'm not a fanboy, just someone who appreciates a product I pay for ACTUALLY WORKING - so call that what you will. Same reason I switched to Samsung TVs, they dont break.

Try removing your hard drive from the system and try and start it back up.... i got the same error the other day and did that and it works fine now. Also, do enjoy your ps3.

actually, most of the people I know fixed the problem by buying a third party AV cable. I havent read this anywhere but if it worked for them...

Heretic... I feel your pain man. I'm personally on my 6th console now, as mine broke the other day and I have yet to receive my next one.

I'm done with Microsoft. They have the best library of the 3 systems, but it's not worth the money I have to pay to keep playing them.

Also, my Dads PS3 locked up playing CoD4 the other day, as did my friends within a few days after that, not sure what he was doing with it though. Both got good customer service, received refurbed 60GB consoles in a few days. No problems with mine however.

Just act justifiably persistent & stern when you call MS that this is a defect of the product; as long as you don't get rude they should accommodate & repair it free. also yea, towel should RRoD it. or blankets. just don't leave it unattended don't want any fires :P.
