So, shuffling my way around the internets, I found the Spore Creature Creator, leaked. I NOT downloaded it, and withing minutes, I was laughing my ass off. It's incredible how intuitive it is to make these creatures. You could make an elaborate monster in 5 minutes even while being completely drunk.

Im sitting here on my phone, bored in my English class as my teacher piledrives Dr. King's
letter into our heads, and as I read sir sterling's post, I devised the solution to end all this
controversy: Black protagonist. Problem solved. Now, excuse me while I go back to sleep.

Ever since I was a little shit, I've dreamed of a game, particularly an American football game, where instead of viewing all the action from a bird's eye view, you were down in the action, first person perspective. Something about watching all those little men running around hitting each other like ants was never really interesting to me for a video game, thus my hatred of sports games.


Madden 08.... BOOOORING!!!

Now, the idea of a first person sport's game has apparently been touched upon before, and with a little digging, I found what seems to be a game that apparently seems to have died before it got out the doors. 2k Sports' First Person Football. The last word of this game was heard in 2003, and nothing since, and has been pronounced dead by the general public. Sadly, this game was not American football, but it was Soccer, which probably had something to do with it's downfall. That, and EA's NFL deal sealed it's fate.

Another game that could be considered a sports game in the first person perspective is an Unreal Tournament mod called Deathball. I remember trying this out a long time ago, and though it wasn't all that great, it was an interesting take on a sports game.

It's a shame, because I could just imagine an awesome game where you start out in the quarterback's helmet, call a play, in the huddle, head to the line, receive the ball from the center, find your quarterback, pull the trigger and let it fly. The camera would follow the ball as it flies through the air and see if it hits the intended receiver or not, and if it does, get inside the helmet of the receiver and run for your life. The entire concept just sounds so much more fun then the conventional sports game that we've been playing for decades now.

The chances are that if there ever is another 2k Sports football game, it may have some sort of first person option, but for now, it seems we'll have to wait out the EA deal.

Yah, Other people look like they need a new system more than me, but that's not going to stop me from wanting it.
You see, my rig suffers from the "Fucking Old" syndrome. When I built it (3 years ago) It had some of the best parts in it. We're talking an SLI build when they were first made available from Nvidia. Wait for it... DUAL NVIDIA 7600GS!!! That power is insane, right? Also, an AMD Athlon 3500+ with a stock fan which was only recently replaced with a used opteron 650! The fan on one of the video cards is failing, so the computer is so loud that I now have to turn it off at night so I can sleep. The flashy lights, however, still work like a charm! I've lugged this system with me to numerous lan tourneys and such, and i'm missing the case screws, so the side panel often falls off. The motherboard's BIOS is corrupted, and no matter how much I update it, it's still faulty, giving me frequent Blue Screens of Death when using a USB drive.
So, as long as this contest stays truly "random" then i still have a hope of winning :3
