New Double Fine game NOW ONLINE
Hank Peters | 5:53 AM on 03.24.2009 6 comments

It's called "Host Master and the Conquest of Humor", and it's a point and click adventure available on the official Double Fine website. The game is about Tim Schafer (host of the 2009 GDC Awards!) trying to find a joke before having to go onstage. There are 22 jokes to be found in all, but even if you don't have all the jokes, Tim still ends up doing a pretty good job as a host (but is left with a nagging feeling that haunts him for the rest of his life). And yes, you can spend the entire time clicking "turn on [object]". But don't forget to spend an equal amount of time turning OFF objects either.

Goddamn I love point and click adventures.... but I truly suck at them. I've found 5 so far and I'm stuck. Hmmm.

Yes, found all 22! The moonwalk-mode that you get after you beat the game is beyond epic!

@UglyPhil

I am sorry that was in the same situation as Ron Burgandy and had to get ready for classes. I now have the time to link it properly so that you can finally play it.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
