One of the many things facing college students these days is the lack of time management.
I am a commuter to my school and spending time at my house trying to do my college
work does not seem to be going well at all. Almost all of the time, I catch myself struggling
to concentrate due to the fact that all of my gaming systems are staring right at me. As the
days have come and gone, I've been thinking to myself that I need to start to discipline....
myself.
In order for me to carry out this scenario, I will need to focus on something that I really
want and motivate myself to work hard and achieve good grades in order to have it. I
came to a conclusion that Guitar Hero World Tour would be the perfect product to focus on
getting those good grades for. If I feel that I could have done better, I probably will hold off
on the game until I satisfy that.
Right now, since it is the first week of college, nothing really has been going on so I have
been able to play a bunch of games. Guitar Hero 3 still occupies my time greatly even
though I think that the games set list is probably the one that I hate the most out of all the
Guitar Hero games. I have also been playing Braid and Castle Crashers which are both
great in their own way.
Today, for my final video game purchase before I get into super college mode, I will be
buying Super Mario RPG off of the Wii Virtual Console. I never had this game and I've been
wanting to get it for the longest time but spending more that $8 on the actual cartridge
didn't fancy (yes I said fancy) me at all. I figure that this weekend will be one of the last
great ones before I get bombarded with homework. So considering that I really never
played the game before, would you say that it is worth the $8?
The game is worth it times 10. It was one of my favorite games from the SNES era, and is pretty darn good. Its up there with Chrono Trigger in value, so 8 dollars is a low asking price, imo.
I'm back at school too. I only allow myself one gaming day a week. And sometimes I'm so busy I don't even get to game at all.
You're right. It's about discipline. Some times I cheat and play games on my iPhone. It's not the same as my PS3, but it takes care of my gaming "fix."
It's well worth the eight dollars. It's a pretty long game, so unless you plan to sink the whole weekend into it you'll probably be chipping away at it for awhile. Good luck with school :)

School is for fools.
Drop out and become a professional GuitarHero player like that kid in the news awhile ago.
I'm too lazy to find it.

I haven't been able to play any games this past week. Too bad my first week of school wasn't likewise devoid of assignments. :(
