Team Fortress 2 Beta Up, Pants Tighten

I don't know how many of y'all were waiting up for the TF2 Beta to begin last night (I know Angelsdontburn was), but now that it's finally up and running, it seems to be well worth the wait. I am one of the three people on earth who never played the original TF, so this was a real treat for me. Obviously I can't really comment on the differences between TF and TF2, but I'm having fun, so fuck it.

For those who were waiting patiently for the beta to begin, did you get in earlier than midnight PST? I didn't get to play until about midnight on the 18th, as Valve seemed to be having some release issues. Not sure if it was localized or not.

I'm so tired. It wasn't up until about 2:45 - 2:50 AM Central time. I had to be up for work at 6:30. Didn't sleep til 3:30. I can't wait to play more tonight.

ok, I figured everyone had the same issue - I was in the [-Q-] chatroom for a while toward the end of the night, and everyone was whining about the same thing.

Haha. Yeah, it was inevitable. I swear to god, when the game finally started. The server list blew my mind. I mean within mere minutes / seconds practically every single server was full. I have never seen anything like that on PC EVER.

Mine wouldn't start, I got it preloaded and then it would say it's loading the game, and then nothing. I'm gonna try again later after work...

Stayed up until 3 too. Going to bed was a definite walk of sadness.
