Age: 23
Location: Ottawa, ON, Canada.

Profile: I'm a longtime gamer, and started playing video games during the transition from the NES to the SNES. Although I like retro games, I play mostly newer games on the 360. Still, my favourite gaming memories are from all-nighters filled with Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Smash Bros. in the late 90s.

I'm looking for a career in public service, politics or other fields where research and writing are critical. Though, the closer it's related to games, the better.

I make videos, animated gifs, podcasts and all kinds of random stuff in my spare time. I'm also trying to develop my own gaming website (details coming eventually).

Systems: NES, Super NES, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo 64, Wii, Sega Genesis, Playstation 2, Xbox 360, PC, Colecovision (my dad's). Also, many other systems (including arcade) that I not emulate.

Some Favourite Games:
Retro (NES-SNES eta): Megaman 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario All-Stars, Sonic 3, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Robotrek, Illusion of Gaia, Megaman X, Lufia 1 and 2, Strider, Metal Slug, Twilight Zone pinball.

Retro Limbo (N64 era): Ogre Battle 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mystical Ninja starring Goemon, Goemon's Great Adventure, Descent: Freespace.

Modern: Halo: Reach, Modern Warfare 2, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Tales of Vesperia, Fallout 3, Bionic Commando Rearmed, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid Prime 1-3, Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam, Hearts of Iron II, Europa Universalis III, Civilization IV.

THE MEGA MAN COMPLETE WORKS ART BOOK!

I really didn't imagine the awesomeness that this book would contain. Not only does it contain the gorgeous character art for all the classic Mega Man games, but there are also pages and pages of early sketches, Robot Master prototypes, posters, manga panels, and, to my enjoyment, American/European box art!

First off is European art for Mega Man 1. I suppose it actually recreates the characters quite well compared to the North American version's box art. Still, a little too realistic and creepy for my tastes.

This one from Mega Man 2 in Europe is a bit more abstract, and obviously from the Eighties.

Oh, and here's some art from the American Mega Man cartoon (which I actually liked). MEGA MUSCLES!

Since I wanted to get free shipping on my Amazon order, I figured I'd also pick up a DVD of Shackleton, with Kenneth Branagh's excellent portrayal of the Antarctic explorer's ill-fated 1914 expedition, and his crew's two year ordeal surviving with their ship trapped and crushed by the ice. There's no way to connect this to video games, but I seriously recommend for anyone to see this miniseries (or at least read about the expedition).

Finally, I'll end off with another rare image of a helmetless Protoman from Mega Man 8, obviously influenced by Zero from the X series. How does he fit all that hair in there?

I got that and the Mega Man X art book at my local comic shop.

I put them next to my Okami art book.

Then I held myself and sobbed lightly while my cat licked my hand.

I probably could have left out that last part.

Does that Protoman picture mean that Protoman wears sunglasses under the sunglasses on his helmet?
Also, I really want this and the MMX complete works.

I think I'm going to pick up the Megaman X book next time I order a book/DVD on Amazon and need to get enough items for free shipping. I'm still surprised that for being around 200 high-quality glossy pages, they're only $26 Canadian each.

Yeah! Don't you love it?!
The Mega Man book is fucking fantastic! Received mine(from Amazon) a few weeks back! I must have already thumbed through it a total of over three hours by now. The Inafune insights are incredible. Buy it and buy it now.
