First Trailer for 3D Star Wars:Clone Wars Show (NVGR)

It's been no secret that LucasFilm has been working on two Star Wars TV series for a while now, one live-action and one animated. Well this is the first actual trailer for the animated show which takes place during the Clone Wars. It's all 3D animated and uses the same art style as the original Clone Wars series that Genndy Tartatovsky directed (though he's not involved with this one).

It looks pretty cool as it seems to be keeping the exaggerated action style of the previous cartoon (though a little dialed back) and it will apparently feature some more appearances from the ultimate bad-ass General Greivous (who was totally shafted in the movie) as well as the bald Sith chick Asaj Ventress. Rumor has it that the first episode will premier in theaters and possibly be in 3D (as in the kind that requires glasses).

I personally thought the first Clone Wars show sucked, so I wonder why they're remaking it.

I thought the first Clone Wars series ruled. The action in that show was amazing which is all they really had time to do given their time restraints.

Yeah wasn't that Bloodrayne and the Pixie from the Nvidia demo? Not sure about the pixie part but the worst was the characters (or rather character models) from EQ2 singing "the reason" by hoobastank.

Man was that the worst idea ever...

I liked the original one too. The art style didn't really agree with me a 100%, but it was still enjoyable. I do want this new one, coz I'm a sucker for anything CGI.

I'm a huge Star Wars nerd but this is definitely not doing it for me. As for the live-action Star Wars TV Show, that, will be total fucking win.
