Having just moved and gotten a room strictly for my geek stuff, I decided it would be an epic room.
I'm working on it. It is not epic yet, but it is a place I can unwind and relax with some retro or new games. I shared my old set up with you all, so I figured I'd share my new set up. The bare bones version as it were.
Firstly the TV, systems and games. As it is I don't have the get up I want for it right now, this is basically what I had at my old place, only now my computer desk is just to the right of it. Speaking of.
My crappy computer (which currently has no graphics card, because it decided to kill it), my Xbox and Fat PS2 sit above it, since I haven't had either of these hooked up in ages, I figured they might as well look pretty.
Above that is an image the female made for me for my birthday, I'd say it's a fairly true statement.
Some of my systems, or at least the ones that get the most play. Not shown: Wii (friend is borrowing), Gamecube (another friend is borrowing), PSP (sitting on a shelf somewhere), DS (one in the bathroom one in my coat pocket), and Dreamcast (Sister has it). I don't have a PS3 because I'm freaking broke.
None of those consoles would be any good without controllers, which I have hanging behind my door.
And yes, those are 3 of the 4 TMNT guarding them. They'll cut you.
Game Shelf #1: PS1 games, and SNES boxed games, with a few non boxed. Plus a old ass Han Solo coin I've had forever.
Game Shelf #2: N64 games and the woman's crap games. I own the good games, she owns the ones that I'm ashamed to even have on the shelf... Such as Mario is missing, Barbie, and other horrible games.
A couple of tetris blocks I made too.
Game Shelf #3: PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube games. Most of my Gamecube games are at my friend's house, so my collection is bigger then this.
Pull out drawer: Xbox360 games and Wii games. Like the Gamecube, a large portion of my Wii games are at a friend's house, so I have more then this.
DVD/NES/Comic shelf. Plus my old Metal Gear toys, which I didn't really have anything better to do with, so I stuck em on the wall.
Also some pixel art I did from Adventure Island 3, Chip and Dale, and Mega Man.
Oh and my big ass nerf gun.
First part of NES/Comic Shelf.
I have several horrible NES games, due to ordering grab bags online for cheap. I only just started collecting NES games, so I don't have many, but I will someday dag nab it.
Oh and some of my import soundtracks.
More of the same shelf.
End of that shelf. DS games.
Top shelf is just my DVDs, nothing special, as my room grows I hope to get a futon or something in place of my beanbag and gamer chair, to make all night gaming sessions easier. I'd also like to get more crafty (I tried painting a little Nemo painting, but I screwed up and didn't prep the canvas correctly.), add more geeky things to the walls, get new shelving and stands for my games, TV, and systems(oh and a bigger TV) and just make this room more or less a paradise.
So Hopefully I'll get some money to do all those things soon.
But there's my gaming setup 2.0, thanks for taking the time to look at it, I know it's not as fancy as a lot of people on here, but it's mine.
I'll updated you as I finish it, maybe someday, I'll even have a small Destructoid get together here. Well at least that's one of my goals.
I approve of this collection! :)
And the embroidered plaque.
Holy shit...
Kudos for the boxed Illusion of Gaia too. Beautiful game.
Awesome collection though i like your MGS figures
Also, INSURANCE NOA!
I can't wait to get my own place so I my nerd lifestyle can have a room of its own.
Goodjob!!
I have 3 DS games because one is for me at all times on the go, one is for the bathroom DS, and one was for my DS that got stolen from me that I eventually stole back.
@Snoopbob2006
I have Shenmue, some of my dreamcast games were on my shelf, but I moved them so other games behind them could be seen.
@Funktastic
I have not checked my private messages, it's always had a zero next to my messages at the top, but I will check them and start setting up that sweet sweet chip exchange.
(I want all your SNES games)
Great Idea! is that a shoe Holder thing?
Where did you get your metal wire frame shelving? I've been looking for some like that.
