I jsut beat Assassins Creed. The game is pretty damn awesome. I didn't have any trouble with the controls and I enjoyed the story a great deal. I can't really say anything about the game without throwing out spoilers, so instead I'll post a picture of Jade Raymond because I know how much we all like her.
I'm thinking of going back and collecting all the flags or playing through it again, but I think I'm going to hold off on that and play something I haven't beaten yet...
Probably Enchanted Arms... I've sorely neglected that game, as well as my PS3.
So I've been playing rock band since oh.. about 3 today.. not consistently but when i wasn't playing rock band I was playing with my band, so it's almost the same deal.
Anyway, I spent my time before practice playing solo career on Hard and unlocking the bonus tracks (most of which I really don't like) so now my fingers are aching on my left hand from the tiny rock band guitar and playing bass for a couple of hrs... BFD, right?
What's worse than than it that I'm playing Suffragete City on Hard and my guitar is starting not to register upstrokes anymore. (I already ordered a replacement) It was fine before because I'm a finger plucking bassist and adapting to only playing upstrokes on the guitar was easy, but I'm starting to get annoyed because this stupid song (that I dig) has gotten the best of me two days in a row.
Last night my friend and I played this song it seems like a dozen times when he was on drums and i was singing and playing guitar... it's kicking the shit out of me.
So yeah, I just needed some time away from the guit but as I go back I leave you with a question?
Is there any song on Rock Band giving you trouble and/or is your malfunctioning guitar wrecking your fun time with the game?
P.S. Despite the broken guitar, I still love the game and I'm only not playing the drums or singing because people need to sleep in my house.
So today I went to Toys R Us by my house in Fontana, Ca to buy a case and some screen protectors for my shiny new PSP and I happened to notice a hugantic box under the tiny PS3 section in the games dept. This box looked unfamiliar to me and it has some kind of weird rope and plastic device on the top up it.. I approached it and to my surprise it was a rock band Set!!
I didn't know they were available anywhere so i got a little giddy and visibly excited and asked the clerk if there were any for the 360 because i don't know anyone else with a PS3 that is getting Rock Band and sure enough there was a box sitting behind the counter fresh out of the UPS truck with two Rock band sets! So i gathered the PSP starter kit I Picked out as the lady behind the counter called around to make sure these weren't preorders and after a minute or so she sold it to me!!
So tonight i busted it open set it up and got my two non-gaming sisters (the oldest is 27 and she hasn't played video games since old old Huge Game Boy when she was in elementary) to form up a band with me and rock out.
This game is so much fun.. I'm sure the novelty will wear off of me even just as guitar hero did, but this one is going to be a lot more fun when people come over to my house to hang out...
I'm thinking of making a band consisting of guys from my real band, but since there are 9 of us (We're a Ska/Indie rock band) i think we might do two opposing bands if someone else gets Rock band in the band. We have two guys capable of playing drums in the band and two singers and two guitars it might be pretty fun... I like playing the drums a lot, but I'm a bassist so I guess I get the instrument no one cares about.
So yeah... who has Rock band and what is your instrument of choice?
Sure I had to work all day, but I made it home alive and I was greeted with awesome presents. My family really kicked ass this year!
Today I got Assassins Creed for the 360 and The Phantom Hourglass for the DS from my sisters, as well as some Mario figurines from my sister Briana.
After that, my mom gave me a PSP Daxter Bundle!!!
Fuck Yeah!
So now.. I need to go out tomorrow and get some screen protectors and a case, but what games should I get?
I love RPGs so I'm thinking of picking up the Joan of Arc game I can't spell at this time of night and The Tales Series game... and maybe some Ratchet and Clank. Oh.. and probably a burnout game.
Oh, and are there any cool Japan only games worth importing for my new toy?
So i finally beat Folklore today after many hours of playing Halo 3 instead of getting down to the nitty gritty of the game and finishing it.; but I got my act together and I have to say it's a really good game. The story starts out slow, but it picks up as the two main characters stories start to get more involved with each other.
Anyway, has anyone else beat this and is anyone else as confused as I am with the end of the game?
Oh and another question for you guys.. I have a ton of PS2 games I want to start and finish before xmas rolls around... which ones should I pick?
Haunting Ground
Grandia III
Shadow Hearts
Devil May Cry 3
ICO (I started it in sept, but only played an hour or so)
Final Fantasy XII
Radiata Stories
Viewtiful Joe
Magna Carta: Tears of Blood
I also have Enchanted Arms for the PS3 I might finish up, but I don't know..
I have almost exclusively played my games on consoles from the Atari 2600 my Dad had when I was little to the NES, Genesis, SNES (After PSX came out), PSX, N64 (After Gamecube Came Out), Two PS2s, Xbox, Gamecube, Xbox 360, PS3 and Finally the Wii. when I was young, we weren't too well off financially so most systems we had in our house were limited to 4 or 5 games which we would receive on Christmas as a family gift, so I missed out on a ton of classics. And recently I got into the PC gaming Circle with Half Life 2 in June of '07.
In recent years with my having a job, I have been able to buy consoles and games with great regularity and because of this my gaming horizons have expanded greatly. And because of this I spent a large amount of time playing games when I'm not at work, school (CSUSB-Senior) or with the band, I'm playing games.
So yeah... that's all you need to know for now. And if you really want to know more, don't be afraid to message me.. I need some more friends to game with.
