Great movie game or the greatest movie game? Also, dolphins!
Grenator Bole | 7:18 PM on 03.31.2008 5 comments

This one holds a special place in my heart. It bring memories of Mountain Dew and late nights spent with Mario Kart 64 and Street Fighter, which is why I find it hard to believe that not many people bring it up as an example of making a great game based on a movie. I was recently listening to a slightly old RetroforceGO! and the only good movie game anyone could think of was Chronicles of Riddik, which disappoints me. I think most people might have guessed the game I am talking about. It's Goldeneye! Goldeneye was a very fun single player game, but an amazing multi-player event every time you could get four people in the same room. The sad thing is the next 007 game was nothing in comparison. Why do you think very few movie games have been hits? Is it the creators? The rush to release them at the same time as the movie? Or is it just that uninformed people will buy them no matter what?

On an unrelated note, I recently got back from a vacation to Savannah, Georgia. While we were there, we went on a boat tour. That boat tour was called... Dolphin Magic. It was about 80 degrees and the dolphins were playing and jumping and surfing in the wake. In a word, amazing! There was even a smaller baby dolphin playing with its mother. Be jealous.

I totally have that game. It was my nephews, but they thought it was lame. They were 5 and 6 years old.

Man, I need to put out the next in my series of Licensed Games That Don't Entirely Suck. There's also Spider-Man 2, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers/Return of the King, Tron 2.0, and The Warriors just to name a few.
