Brilliant! I could not even begin to count the amount of times a movie has been spoilt for me because some kid is kicking the back of my seat, or sitting in front of me chatting away to their parents during a film's quieter sections.
GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY CINEMA.
But it's so much more fun to punch them in the back of the head :(
lol :p
That's a great idea and one I'm surprised hasn't been tried before. I've been to see an animated movie or two with a girlfriend and it was just horrible being in a cinema full of kids.
It is a great idea but at an adult only showing you're so gonna get the old guy cracking one off sat behind you (as happened with my ex g/f and I, during Blade 3)
That's awesome. After getting the (fucking long and sufficiently expensive) movie At World's End completely ruined by 3 kids uninterested in the movie and oblivious to the other couple of hundred people trying to enjoy the movie I've stopped going. Would probably start going again if there were screenings like that...
People around here are generally quiet.
Why don't people go to the movies during the week?
Generally, during the week, there's a higher likelihood of no kids hanging out. Yeah, it's a gamble, but odds are there won't be nearly as many disruptions.
@ DVDDESIGN
Better yet, during the day. I went to a showing of Quantum of Solace a couple of days after release, at around 4pm. There were about 10 people there.
Went again with someone else toward the end of the week and later in the evening and it was packed.
@DVD: Its convenience mostly, not everyone has time during the week. Its just a nice option to have.
@RON: That makes you lucky. In a city like Middlesbrough as I've recently learned you get groups of unsupervised 13 year olds who put their feet up on the chairs even when people are sitting in them, who talk all the way through the film even though they payed to see it, and who get violent at the drop of a hat and will throw their unfinished drinks at you. Thankfully I've never been that guy but I've seen it happen more times then I'd like.
This is a good idea so long as it doesn't hurt sales.
If my local Cinema did this, Id be there more often since annoying little fucks like kids, babies and "Wannabe gangstas" wont shut the fuck up when other people paid good money to watch a movie.
When I saw Dark Knight, there was this obnoxious group of 12 year olds, one of whom had a laser pointer. I almost punched him in the face.
I like this idea.
This is FUCKING awesome!
Last movie I saw was Quarantine and the whole front row was underage kids (I dont know how they got in) and the girls screamed and then laughed and EVERYTHING.
Was a horible experience.
Awesome!
The cinema experience in Britain is bloody awful without the noisy, giggling, teen-tards that have their parents money to burn making it even worse.
Now if only we can get them back into the workhouses, Britain will be Great, once more ;)
Great idea! Kids these days! In my day it was sir or mam, we had to walk 300 miles, in the snow, bare foot!
I'll go check out the Vue to see the new Bond, although I'm still weary of it's quality.
