Greetings to everyone at Destructoid!

Like many I have been a lurking round the site for a couple of months before I decided to take the plunge and start up my own blog. I am not a writer by trade or even a good speller but that’s why they have spell check and every once in a while I might have something noteworthy to write about. I have somewhat of a little bio, or a stupid rant, on the side bar so check it out to get a little into my world. This is my first blog ever on any site so I am just going to let it rip in random thoughts mode.

- I really enjoy the podcasts on this site. A couple of months ago I found them and was instantly hooked. The personalities mesh well on each and they make my dull delivery job 100 times better every week.

- My favorite out of the three is easily Retroforce Go! Not that the others are bad but it always puts me in a good mood reminiscing about games I used to play and having nothing else to worry about other than beating Contra or The Legend of Zelda back in the day. The first time I heard Chad go into one his laughing fits I was right there with him laughing my ass off. And Topher, someone has to calm this guy down. He’s out of control! He makes me want to buy a Dreamcast so I have the ultimate d-pad just for Ikaruga.

- I remember hearing about a game being made including characters from Retroforce Go or something to that effect. I always thought Dyson should be able to shoot pizza rolls Gambit style or maybe a huge pizza roll like Ryu in Street Fighter. But then again he would never waste pizza rolls on enemies.

- Got to give a shout out to Jim Sterling. Love the potty mouth rants on Podtoid! I wish you would have kicked JT off his soapbox when you interviewed him. “Jiiiiiiimmmm. Jiiiiiiiiimmm! If you’re gonna keep interrupting me…” I would waste a whole can of mace on JT’s face. JT does have a FEW good points but he just goes about it the wrong way, at least when he was talking over Jim.

- My first GTAIV LOL moment: Early in the game I had to chase down the laundry mat owner for Vlad and while in pursuit I came up over a hill not knowing there was a pile of cinder blocks in the middle of the road. Going full speed I rammed the blocks and Niko flew through the windshield and on top of the pile of cinder blocks. While I was laying there a construction worker near by said “Don’t drive like an asshole!” That was the first time I had realized you can get thrown through the windshield and then the construction worker jawing at me just made me crack up.

- I ended up choosing a PS3 over an xbox360 recently when I received my economic stimulus from the government. Everyone I talk to loves their 360 with better online functionality, live arcade and a shit load of games. Trust me I would love to get a 360 but that’s a lot of money for a guy like me to spend on a system that might red ring on me in the future. I love my PS3 so far. I guess all I have to worry about now is they get their act together and catch up to the competition. It’s kind of a catch 22. Go with a company that packs the shelves with faulty consoles or a company that it taking the good old sweet time giving their fans what they want. Oh well, eventually I will own both. Plus I am really looking forward to MGS4 and Little Big Planet to name a few.

- The World Ends With You. Go try it if you own a NDS!!! It’s a fresh take on the action RPG type of game. I haven’t got very far in it yet but I am enjoying it enough that it’s eating into my GTAIV time. There is no pub at all for this game so I will do my part to spread the word.

- I wish they would make a sequel to Freedom Fighters. I had it for the GC and it was a pretty good squad based shooter. The squad controls were simple yet effective. The story was pretty simple as well but a sweet idea you would think they want to explore in this console generation. Maybe someday.
