With their latest release, the killer app Clock, Nintendo looks to be taking a dominating lead in the video game business. But what could be next? My inside source at Nintendo R&D tells me that the Big N, with their next Wii update, are looking to put the nail in the coffin of their closest competitors, the Playstation 1 and Sega Dreamcast, by releasing a DVD player!!

I also managed to obtain this photo of the Wii-DVD proto-type.

Hold onto your hats Nintendo fans, the future looks bright!

Well i own a DVD player but not in my living room.
I have my xbox in my bedroom along with my tv that has a built in dvd player.
My roomate has a 360 that he keeps in his room.
Our living room has the main tv and the wii, it would be nice if it did play dvds.

it will... it was said long ago it one day will happen... it has the technology it has the power... it needs the inspiration. Just give it some love in that blue slot till it starts bleeding out the dvd goodness!

Meh. I'd rather save money than pay more for a DVD-enabled Wii. I already have a PS2 and a DVD player. Do I need another?
