About Me
Hey I'm Xero I'm a gamer who seems to be one of the few that don't have some needless console fanboyism. I mostly buy Nintendo Products but that's only because well I like the stuff but don't worry I don't pass up good games just because there not Nintendo (I don't own an XBox or PS3 because I already have regular access to them) Oh yeah I'm single and British. Any takers? Anyone?

My favourite series:

EARTHBOUND!

Pokemon

Mario

SuperSmashBros.

Megaman

Legend of Zelda

Metroid

Pikmin

Anything by Valve

My games on my to do list (Either wanna buy or complete):

Punch Out!
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Sin and Punishment 2
Metroid: Other M
Zelda Wii
A Boy and His Blob
A Godamned PSP
[Fuckkkkkk! My backlog is growing every day and hat's without the DS and PC games....]

GoldenGamerXero | 2:43 PM on 09.14.2010 33 comments

So it was the Gamecube's birthday today. He sent out invites to everybody.
Yeah everybody. You know how many people showed up. Diddly squat.

...

He cried you know. I hope you're all happy.

You monsters.

Xero wants everyone to remember they failed to come the Gamecube's birthday and therefore get no cake.He would also like to remind you that you sicken him and that the cake is fucking delicious.

It probably doesn't help him much that the Wii is backwards compatible...

I always liked that it has a little handle like a lunch box.

That, and Smash Bros, Metroid Prime, Wind Waker and the Kinnikuman (Ultimate Muscle) game.

And that's about it. RIP, GC. And say Hi to Virtua Boy for me.

Hahaha! Well, I loved the cube, so I would've come if I had known. I loved the awesome controllers, the near indestructibility, and all of the sweet 1st party games on it!

I haven't spent much time with the Gamecube, but what time I have spent was pretty swell.

I put fresh flowers on my GC's grave every other year.

My Virtual Boy, however, I took to a taxidermist and had mounted on my wall.

I just bought two Gamecube's last week from Goodwill! It's like I knew his birthday was coming up...or not.

@knutaf

But the Wii is testament to how awesome the Gamecube is. How many other consoles can make a whole new one just from taping two together?

@DynamoJoe

I think the Gamecube had some of the greatest games I've ever played in my life. To this day: Wind Waker > Twilight Princess and Thousand Year Door > Super Paper Mario.

@rexwolf2

I would be astounded if there is anyone that can manage to destroy a Gamecube.

@mrandydixon (Name change didn't last long then?)

Short, sweet and without regrets; That's the Gamecube way.

@Nihil

The 'cube will never die as long as we believe! (and the Virtual Boy never happened if we all cease to)

@CjillyBilly

One of my biggest regrets in life was only ever owning one Gamecube. You're living the dream bro.

Yeah, I loves Paper Mario 2. The only bad association I have with it is when I found out that most of the parrners were copies of the originals.

I'm okay with it because they didn't exactly have the largest selection of interest species and there were no direct copy and pastes. I'm probably just letting it off because of nostalgia though.

@Rexwolf: Because I wanted one of each color released (not including the special editions). Now, I have them all.

I still staunchly defend my Gamecube to this day to the myriad haters. In my opinion, the GC had the best ergonomically designed controller of any console EVER. The little xylophone music that played when you booted the system was awesome, and there were some great games. FUCKIN TWIN SNAKES!!!! Resident Evil 4? Come on. Also, I will hold on to my belief that Double Dash is the best iteration of Mario Kart to this day.

I liked the Gamecube. I know Marcus fucking loves Super Smash Bros. My favourite was Rebel Strike (big into Star Wars games at the time). Resident Evil 4.....was another Marcus fav.

My gamecube once bludgeoned a man to death when he tried to rob me in my apartment. I love my gamecube for that.

Pure love in box form.

@Occams electric toothbrush

The domesticated Gamecube always reverts to it's primal instincts when challenged. It's first instinct upon danger to to beat the living shit out of everything. It's second is to play some Double Dash.

My Gamecube was a good friend. I would be ideal to mod him, but he's still just packed away since the Wii moved in.

Just couple of week ago, I dug up my cube, yanked the card, and passed it off to a friend who had just picked up on of those Nintendo hypersquares. The torch has been passed.

I love the GameCube. It's a tie for my favorite Nintendo console, along with the SNES. I love the console design. IT"S A BOX!!

I got my GameCube about a year and a half ago, well after it's life. I wanted one when it launched, but I got a PS2 instead, so of course I quickly forgot about the Cube. But one day I just started thinking about it, so I looked up it's game library, looked up prices on eBay, and grabbed one of those suckers. I already have about 60-70 games for it. I love it along with my PS2.

I wish they did more GC/Wii simultaneous releases like they did with Twilight Princess and the Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. I'm pretty sure if they did, the GameCube would still be going strong today like the PS2 is!

Dude, the Gamecube has one of the best libraries ever. I don't get much use out of the actual console anymore now that I have my Wii, but the controller and games are some of my absolute favourites.

I have much love for the cube.

You know what, the GameCube was pretty cool anyway. I remember playing Rogue Agent, Animal Crossing, and Metroid Prime a couple of months after it came out at Blorp's place.

I don't have a lot of NGC games in my collection, but the selection is pretty neat. I like the GameCube.

Also, GBA addon is the tits.

Also, also, I still need to acquire Skies of Arcadia: Legends for it.

So yeah, we still love you GameCube! Happy Birthday!

I actually just brought my GameCube out of a box the other day. Hooked it up and everything though I seemed to have lost the power adapter somewhere >_>
