Mega Man 2.5D, Sweden
Gimic300 | 9:16 PM on 06.07.2009 0 comments

Basically, I did a short Q and A with Peter Sjörstrand, the creator of Mega Man 2.5D, and it can be viewed here:

If you like what you see, Digg that sh*t.

But I suppose I shouldn't just use my blog space for blatant advertisements, I suppose I should actually talk about something here. Will it be Mega Man 2.5D? Not really. How about the fact that Sweden is awesome? Yeah, I think I'll talk about that.

Over the past year or so, I've found that I enjoy things that come out of Sweden. Could it be because I've been cohabitating with a Swedish woman for over a year? Maybe, but I think it runs a little deeper than that.

Sweden is awesome. This proves it.

Exhibit 1: Epic Mega Man fans.

Mega Man 2.5D came from a Swedish man, and so did the most face meltingly bad ass Mega Man 9 medley in existence. If you haven't seen Fredrick Larsson's MM9 Rock Medley, you're really missing out on what could be the greatest piece of music produced in the last decade. Feast your ears, and bow down to one of your Swedish masters.

Now, maybe it's just me, but Freddie is just cute as hell when he looks up from that keyboard. I WANT him.

Exhibit 2: Nifflas

Night Game is coming. Nuff said.

Exhibit 3: The best muther flanking film of last year.

Yes, you read that Right. Forget all of the overrated films of 2008 that you were told were good, the best movie last year came from Sweden. Irrelevance? I don't care. The movie gets bonus points for it's screen writer being the author of the book it was adapting. Plus, it made me bawl like a 4 year old child who has to listen to his parents making love on an almost nightly basis. My father really should have put in some thicker walls.

Damn, that was all over the place. I'm using "First blog" as an excuse.

 about me

I'm a gamer, of course. I'm a pretty big Nintendo fan, but that doesn't stop me from owning a 360 and (wanting) a PS3. I moderate two small gaming forums, www.gamingaddicts.org and FTWgamingnetwork. I could ask you to visit, but what the hell do you care, right? Right now I'm playing Skullmonkeys (I'm a big Doug TenNaple fan), Shenmue, Final Fantasy IV on the DS, and Punch Out!! on the Wii. My favorite genres are Platformer, Puzzle, RPG, and Third Person Action/Adventure. I live in Brooklyn, New York.
